Track: Heavy A total of 44mls of rain fell on the track between midday on Friday 4 June 2010 and 1.00am on race day. The track surface was heavy . Cold rain and hail in passing showers continued through the early part of the program. The track curator kept off the surface until Race 12 when she commenced grooming with the brushes only. 6mls of rain were recorded during the race meeting.
Scales: Correct at 20kgs
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: JE DUNN was charged with a breach of Rule 69.11 when MOANING MOANY, a starter in Race 9, weighed in 1.8kgs above his last race start weight. He was fined $100.00.

Race 1	Advance Pet Nutrition Dash - C0 - 295	OPAWA CARLA, AT THE PEG and COOL JORDIE came together after the jump losing ground. Into the straight COOL JORDIE clipped the heels of MRS.PATCH before checking outwards.
Race 2	Challenge Opawa All Up Sprint - C1 - 295	SENORITA SISSY was slow to jump. Into the bend DROPPY'S STORM moved away from the rail tightening ROBIN US BLIND on his outer who came back on LEO'S BOY and WHAT JUSTICE who lost ground. Soon after ROBIN US BLIND, TEPIRITA TIKI and ANY BAD HABITS came together.
Race 3	Addington Events Centre Sprint - C0 - 295	FOREVER WITHIN was slow to jump. TOSHIMI ran down to the rail after the jump tightening both HOME AGAIN then FOREVER WITHIN. Into the bend CRASH GYBE tightened RISING MERCURY on his inner.
Race 4	Excelsior Sports Bar & T.A.B. Stakes - C0 - 520	WHO'S YA DUFFER lost all chance when very slow to jump. Into the first bend SOFIA'S GIRL and MULBERRY BLACK came together as SAM BAXTER improved along the rail. MULBERRY BLACK was pushed wide losing ground. DINGLE MOUSE ran wide around the first bend and into the back straight finishing last. A veterinary check revealed a left hind metatarsal strain with a 14 day stand down recommended.
Race 5	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	HO HO PAREORA was slow to jump but recovered quickly to be alongside the leader into the bend. KNOW TURBO and TOWER came together into the bend before THRILLING RILEY and AKAISHA BALE came together for a few strides.
Race 6	Amber Cleaning Services Stakes - C0 - 520	GIMME A DREAM came up with the lids losing all chance. In the run to the first bend RULEBOOK RAY and BOTANY MATTHEW collided with both losing ground. BOTANY MATTHEW ran on late for third.
Race 7	www.greyhoundtips.co.nz Dash - C1 - 295	FAST TEDDY who was slow to jump improved between dogs into the bend tightening and checking WILLY'S PRIDE and DAIMLER DAVE. Soon after FAST TEDDY and CAWBOURNE MADZ collided with CAWBOURNE MADZ being turned sideways losing all chance to finish last. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 8	Dave Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C1 - 295	CURRAHEE and SOFA LOAFA were tightened by PROTEST LINE moving away from the rail into the bend, both coming back on BOTANY STORY who stumbled and almost fell. In doing so she clipped the heels of MATAGOURI MO who was dragged down. BOTANY STORY was vetted following the race and found free of injury.
Race 9	Barron's Supplies Stakes - C1 - 520	LIFE'S GREAT was very slow to jump. SECRET CHLOE ran wide around the first bend. Across the top BRASSED OFF was dragged down when struck by an improving SLOPOKE RODRIGEZ, drifting out to finish last. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 10	Shirley Veterinary Centre Dash - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH MARLON was slow to jump. Into the bend BELFAST MUNCHA moved inwards tightening BABA GANOOSH and HOMEBUSH MARLON who came back on HAMBURGER. Soon after CAWBOURNE JODIE checked outwards when tightened by TUKURUA ZAC.
Race 11	Tuesday Place Pick Sprint - C2 - 295	LESTER, REDLINE REVOLVER, CAWBOURNE TOUCH and ROTKARA MOMENTS were tightened into the bend losing ground. Turning for home LESTER struck the hindquarters of ROTKARA MOMENTS who was turned sideways. MISS CITY ROO turned in the boxes losing all chance and taking no competitive part in the race. She was ordered to undertake a box trial in accordance with Rule 72.13.
Race 12	Murray @ Re/Max ph 03 3715005 Stakes - C1 - 520	SUPERIOR RANK brushed the rail around the first bend when racing midfield. Across the top EL KILDA and ST.VALARY came together losing momentum. They came together again in the home straight. TIPPY TIPSTAR drifted to the rear soon after the start never improving. He and SUPERIOR RANK were subject to veterinary checks which revealed no injury to either dog.
Race 13	Active Electrical Christchurch Ltd Sprint - C1 - 295	CAWBOURNE QUICK moved outwards from the rail into the bend clipping the heels of HEAVEN'S BEST and falling heavily. TOKEN RAGE was checked as a result with STUMPY RELTUB and NATHAN OPAWA running wide. CAWBOURNE QUICK regained his feet running a short distance Soon after GLENMORE LASS ran into the hindquarters of HEAVEN'S BEST with both dogs falling. HEAVEN'S BEST rolled outwards into the path of NATHAN OPAWA who went over the top of the fallen dog and fell as well. NATHAN OPAWA rolled towards the outside of the track clipping STUMPY RELTUB who was checked. All dogs with the exception of CAWBOURNE QUICK completed the race. Post race veterinary checks were undertaken. GLENMORE LASS was found to be free of injury, CAWBOURNE QUICK was found to have a fractured left tibia,
Race 14	www.containersdirect.co.nz Dash - C2/3 - 295	Into the bend CAWBOURNE SIENNA tightened GUNADOO DREAMS who came back on VALKYRIE, BOMBER MAN and HONOUR who all lost ground.
Race 15	$15,000 Pick 6 Leg 1 Stakes - C2 - 520	AWESOME BENDER and OPAWA BROOKE came together into the first bend resulting in OPAWA BROOKE being forced wide.
Race 16	Yaldhurst Hotel Stakes - C1 - 520	BOMBAY TRAM lost all chance when slow to jump. Into the first bend ALLEGRINI and RONRAY CRUISER came together coming back on SWEET APPEAL.
Race 17	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C2/3 - 295	LEVERAGE ran in after the jump tightening LES HART and POCKETS FULL before tightening ARCHILLIES into the bend, all four finishing at the rear.
Race 18	Kolorful Kanvas Feature - SPECA - 295	JUST BEATRICE clipped out off the heels of ROYAL LYCAON into the bend taking MIRAGE ROYALE, TALENT CITY and HAILSTONE HERB wide on the track. Into the home straight TALENT CITY clipped the heels of MIRAGE ROYALE and stumbled for a few strides finishing last. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 19	Speight's Six Pack Stakes - C1 - 520	LOU BALE and GENISTA SUMER were tightened into the bend settling at the rear.
Race 20	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C2/3 - 295	ASTRO DAVE and HOMEBUSH MATE were tightened by dogs on their outer into the bend.
