Health and Safety comment: Three Handlers were firmly reminded of the requirment for them to remain behind the sprint boxes until the lure came to a halt at the conclusion of races. They had been observed to move several metres down the track as the lure came towards them and their actions could potentially place them in a dangerous situation.

Judicial report: C.Morris the Trainer of HUTT PARK FLYER was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when the dog was presented 1.9 kilograms under its last start weight on 03.05.10.

Race 1 Allied Work Force 800 Labour - C2/3 - 520 The hot favourite DANGLE THE CARAT was checked on the first corner when crowded by TAILS OFF and she was checked again on the first bend when TAILS OFF again moved in and she lost several lengths. DANGLE THE CARAT then recovered to make up a huge amount of ground to finish in 3rd place. Another well supported runner BOTANY BARB was checked and forced wide over extra ground on the first bend when BLAKE'S ANGEL moved out. BOTANY BARB received another slight check entering the last bend when making contact with TAILS OFF and she stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 2 Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C3/4 - 305 CHINESE GIRL was handy to the first corner but was checked and dropped back and this resulted in severe checks to MISS AGENT, BIGTIME EYE, ELITE BAXTER and GROOVE ARMADA with BIGTIME EYE falling and the other runners mentioned losing several lengths and all chance. BIGTIME EYE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with a spike wound and shoulder soreness.
Race 3 Wanganui Farm Supplies - SPECA - 520 One of the favourites KNOCK ' EM DOWN was forced to race wide in the early stages after starting from box 7 and he was then checked entering the back straight losing further ground. He did make ground fairly from there to finish in 6th place.
Race 4 Advance Pet Nutrition - C3/4 - 305 SIX PLEASE began awkwardly losing four lengths and she stayed back to finish in 6th place. FARMOR ENFORCER moved in on the first corner and checked UPAHUT STAR and HUTT PARK FLYER who both lost ground from which they never recovered. MISS BRUGGE was slow to begin and was then forced wide into the bend when HUTT PARK FLYER ran out onto her line of running and they finished in the last two places.
Race 5 Middle Distance Heats - NZRSq - 520 Heat 1 HOMEBUSH CHARLI was checked in the early running and dropped back to last. He then made firm contact with the rail on the first turn and while he did make up some ground to be 6th on the final bend, he then faded to finish in last place. HOMEBUSH CHARLI was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury.
Race 6 Keenan Concrete Wanganui, 6 Pack - C5 - 305 BIGTIME SURVIVOR annd HERE IN SPIRIT were both checked and lost ground on the first corner when they made contact with ANOTHER MANGLES. BLACK MUSKAT who was following was also checked and forced wide into the bend. BIGTIME SURVIVOR checked over the heels of ANOTHER MANGLES soon after entering the home straight and he lost three lengths in the incident.
Race 7 Middle Distance Heats - NZRSq - 520 Heat 2 OPAWA PADLESS was in 2nd place on the first bend when she was galloped on by ADDIS JAY with both dogs falling and HAILEY'S AGENT and SPEED TICKET being severely checked losing several lengths and all chance of a first three dividend placing. The fallers were examined by the Vet and OPAWA PADLESS was cleared of injury but ADDIS JAY was stood down for 7 days suffering from bruising and disorientation.
Race 8 Mickey's Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520 The well supported OPAWA PATTY was checked entering the back straight and went back to last but she did make up some ground and finished in 5th place.
Race 9 Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C5 - 305 TIM BAXTER and REGAL OUTLAW made contact on the first corner and REGAL OUTLAW then made contact with CAWBOURNE CART who was forced into the line of HEAR NO EVIL and all four dogs lost ground and finished in the last four places.
Race 10 Broad Roofing Services, Wanganui - C5 - 305 General tightening in the run to the first corner resulted in BACK DRAUGHT being checked back to last and he never recovered the lost ground. ANOTHER BAXTER and OPAWA MEGASTAR collided on the bend and lost several lengths and they finished in the last two places.
