Track: Good The track had been turned on the 4.05.2010 and was presented in a very good order
Scales: correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: SURFING AL was stood down for 28 days for marring another dog during race 6 under Rule 80.1A.
FLASH TRAV was stood down until the completion of a satisfactory box trial under Rule 72.13 after turning in the boxes and taking no part in race 9.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned by the Stewards in to allegations of misconduct towards the track curator by a licensed person during the running of todays meeting

Race 1 Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C0q - 305 Heat 1 RETRO ILLUSION stood in the boxes momenterily and was last away by several lengths. TREY BAXTER was also awkwardly away from the outside box and this cost him a couple of lengths in the early stages . TREY BAXTER was examined by the vet after race 10 and was found to be suffering from pain in quadriceps muscle with a 7 day stand down recommended
Race 2 Wanganui Farm Supplies - C0 - 520 GREAT AUNTY MIN jumped out of the boxes very awkwardly ,took a stride and jumped up in the air and lost several lengths , racing in to the first turn she was able to cut down to the rail and made up good ground thereafter to finish in 3rd placing at the line ,,was sent for a vet check as a precautin where no abnormalities were found As the field raced down to the first corner there was tightning between KOP ROAR, COLD GIN and BOTANY MATHEW for several strides. BOTANY MATHEW was examined by the vet after race 10 and was found to be suffering from pain on ritation of right hock with a 14 day stand down recommended
Race 3 Gary Ross Decorator - C0q - 305 Heat 2 As they jumped away from the boxes CUTIE TWO ran on to the back of TUI CAN DO for a stride. As the field raced down to the first turn BLUE BULLET came in as MILLIE SWANSON came out and this caused tightning to ORANGA PAI and MILLIE SWANSON resulting in these two dogs going back to the rear they both tangled up again as they went in to the first turn and they did not get in to contention from there on in . IMA ROYAL was sent for a vet checkas a precaution where no abnormalities were found
Race 4 Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1 - 520 As the field left the boxes HAMISH BAXTER ran up on the back off WAITOTARA RED and HAMISH BAXTER went back to the rear at that point ,but ran on well for 4th placing at the line HOMEBUSH OSO was examined by the vet after race 10 and was found to be suffering from pain in flexion of right hock and a 14 day stand down was recommended. BOTANY FREDA was examined by the vet after race 10 and was found to be suffering from pain in flexion of right hock with a 14 day stand down recommended
Race 5 GEON, Wellington - C0q - 305 Heat 3 RUSTY SAM stood in the boxes as the lids opened and lost about 5 or so lengths and that was his lot. CATCH A PUNTA and KARAKA CHARLIE came together soon after the start and jostled each other for some distance , CATCH A PUNTA was able to get in to the clear soon after and ran on for 3rd placing at the line. HOMEBUSH MELL was sent for a vet check after being swabbed and was found to be suffering from pain on flexion of right hock with a 14 day stand down recommended
Race 6 Keenan Concrete, Wanganui 6 Pack - C0d - 645 ZERO RANGERraced very wide from soon after the start in to the home straight the first time ,then carried on racing wide going out of the straight and seemed to be short in his action and was sent for a vet check where the dog was found to be suffering from pain in muscles on the top of his neck with a 7 day stand down recommended, the vet has advised the handler that further examination may be required to find the exact cause of the problem. As the field raced raced across the top PURE FURY who was in the lead was marred for some distance by SURFING AL who had raced up on his inside and took him towards the outside fence and they both finished in the last two positions at the line. SURFING AL was tood down for 28 days for marring
Race 7 Morrie Gibbons Signs - C0q - 305 Heat 4 As the field jumped from the boxes PAPA GEORGIO ran in as WITHOUT FRIENDS came out and they collide with MIDNIGHT KIWI receiving a check at that point also. As the field neared the home turn KERRY;S DELIGHT had to check back off the heels of the leader REGAL TENT and lost several lengths and could be considered to be a bit unlucky to not finish closer
Race 8 Mickey's Super Liquor - C1 - 305 LANSVALE SPARK was slow away from the start and was forced to race wide across the top bend and in to the home straight and was never a hope throughout Racing in to the first turn THRILLING TIM ran out to avoid the heels of LIL' LARRIKIN and took LANSVALE SPARK wide in to the bend.
Race 9 Broad Roofing Services - C1 - 305 FLASH TRAV turned in the boxes and did not jump out with the field and took no part in the contest and has been stood down until the completion of a satisfactory box trial
Race 10 www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C1 - 305 OPTICAL MAN jumped away fine and then scrambled for a couple of strides which cost him in the rush to the first turn. Soon after the start KNOW FRIENDS came across on to PEACE ICON and this resulted in SYDENHAM PRETTY being squeezed back out to the rear at that point There was more tightning as they raced in to the first turn as KNOW FRIENDS lent in on SYDENHAM PRETTY and PEACE ICON for several strides
