Judicial report: MYSTERY MILLIE and RIDDLE BOY both completed satisfactory trials under Rule 81.1. Trainer K.Walsh attempted to advise the Club of the scratching of THRILLING LEWIS from race 6 but was unable to make contact. When the message was received soon after 8.00 a.m, the T.A.B were unable to reinstate the 1st reserve THRILLING ANGEL into the field. Telecom Staff confirmed to the Steward in Charge that there was a technical fault with the Club Secretaries phone at the time and this was accepted as the reason for the message not being received. An inquiry was opened and adjourned into the alleged offensive behaviour by Handler E.Walker towards other Licence holders and also towards the Stewards. BIGTIME SURVIVOR was selected for swabbing following race 9 but the procedure was not successful due to the dog appearing to be very unsettled by the Lure noise as Trials were being conducted following the last race. S.Maher the Trainer of OPAWA GEM was fined $ 35-00 under Rule 71.4 when he failed to arrange a catcher for the dog in race 6.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C1/2 - 305	EVE HILL was handy to the first corner but then drifted and this resulted in RON'S SECRET who was following, getting on to EVE HILL's heels and losing ground and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 2	Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1/2 - 305	SUPERIOR BLACK began very awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance and she finished in last place. CAWBOURNE SHOT led to the first corner but was bumped from the inside as REGAL REBEL moved through and he lost ground and finished in 5th place.
Race 3	Wanganui Farm Supplies - C3 - 305	WINNER SCHNITZEL and ALECIA RELTUB were both slow to begin losing four lengths and all chance of a first four placing. BACK AT YA raced wide throughout over extra ground and she finished in last place.
Race 4	Advance Pet Nutrition - C4 - 305	MISS ARKANSAS was observed to be lame when removed from the kennels to prepare to race and she was examined by the Vet and declared a late scratching and stood down for 14 days with a toe injury. UPAHUT STAR moved in soon after the start and checked SIX PLEASE who stumbled and lost several lengths and she stayed back to finish in last place. PENIE'S FROM and BIGTIME PAL jostled together on the first corner and PENIE'S FROM lost ground and never recovered and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 5	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - SPECA - 520	KAZZ RAZZ moved across from the start and checked MINI ZILLA and DAPTO TOKEN who both settled back in the field. HOMEBUSH SHEDAN was tightened between runners on the first corner and fell. MINI ZILLA was also checked in the incident losing several lengths and she never recovered and finished well back. HOMEBUSH SHEDAN was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 6	NZRS Final - 6 Pack - NZRSf - 520	BIGTIME GEM disputed the lead entering the back straight but bumped with WHAT A MATE and lost a little ground. SPEED TICKET and OPAWA SECRET collided entering the back straight and went back onto OPAWA GEM and all three lost ground which they could not make up.
Race 7	Mickeys Super Liquor - C5 - 305	ELITE LUKE and SWIFT CONQUEST were handy racing to the first corner but jostled together for a few strides and lost three lengths and any chance of a first four placing. CAWBOURNE DORE who was following was also affected when they dropped back on to his running line and he also lost ground and finished in last place.
Race 8	Keenan Concrete, Wanganui - C4/5 - 520	OPAWA PADLESS was checked back to the rear on the first corner and she stayed back to finish in last place. STARFIRE BOY was checked entering the final bend when racing inside the leader OLYMPIC ACE and he lost two lengths but recovered to make up the lost ground and win the race.
Race 9	Pedigree For Dogs - C5 - 305	CAWBOURNE WHIZ checked over the heels of SHE ROCKS on the first corner and moved out forcing THRILLING MIX wide over extra ground and he finished in last place.
Race 10	Bilderbeck Construction, Wanganui - C4 - 305	KINGSBURY moved out and MISS AGENT moved in soon after the start and this resulted in general tightening to runners drawn in between. Near the first corner MISS AGENT and CHINESE GIRL came together and jostled for several strides until they both checked losing several lengths and they finished in the last two places
