On the home turn kennelmates CAWBOURNE BEAR and WANDY KYLE came together with CAWBOURNE BEAR dropping out to last. A post race veterinary check of CAWBOURNE BEAR revealed no injury. |

| Race 4 | Te Awamutu Self Storage Stakes - C2 - 457 | HOTROD HUBBLE and WINSOME FREDDY were slow to jump with HOTROD HUBBLE never hitting out well finishing last with a post race veterinary check revealing strained lumbar muscles in his back with a ten day stand down recommended. LADY MARIANNE ran outwards checking PRESSURE POINT for a stride at the end of the back straight while THRILLING SIREN was tightened closer to the rail and lost ground. |
| Race 5 | The Clubhouse Bar & Cafe Stakes - C1 - 457 | CAWBOURNE BRIDE ran outwards soon after the jump tightening GALILEO and THRILLING AMY who both lost ground. ARCTIC DREAM ran outwards slightly at the end of the back straight checking FREE COPY for a stride while at this point GLORIANNA received a check and was forced very wide around that bend. GALILEO and CAWBOURNE BRIDE came together on the home turn when well back. |
| Race 6 | Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C5 - 375 | PAYNEFUL TRUTH was last to jump. WITCH JASPER went wide and lost ground around the first bend and was well back thereafter. |
| Race 7 | Protector Safety Stakes - C2/3 - 457 | CLASSY FORT checked off runners into the bend and lost ground. On the home turn TRIPLE TEE ducked outwards and checked LIZZY LEE who lost ground. |
| Race 8 | TAB Pump & Automotive Stakes - C5 - 457 | HARAJUKU BOY crossed the field soon after the jump tightening OLYMPIC ACE, STICKY BOY and SHOWBAGS. FANCY MEL lost ground when trying to get to the outside in the back straight. She made ground late for third. On the home turn SHOWBAGS checked outwards off MATANUSKA when looking for room and badly checked SUB CLASS on his outside. |
