Race 2 | Challenge Opawa All Up Stakes - C2 - 520 | KNOW TRUTH was slow to jump. Into the home straight UNION STEAM checked out off the heels of OFF THE RAILS colliding with BENJI LAFOURCHE. |
Race 3 | www.greyhoundtips.co.nz Dash - C0 - 295 | MAKE ME PROUD was slow to jump. Around the bend YALDHURST FLYER clipped the rear of WEE RAZZ before an improving MAKE ME PROUD collided with WEE RAZZ. TARGET HAND was tightened by HOMEBUSH NESTOR soon after. |
Race 4 | Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C0 - 295 | WHITEY'S WAY was very slow to jump. Into the bend LIL BIT SPECIAL eased when in the clear coming back on an improving WHITEY'S WAY. The race film was shown to the trainers repreresentative V KINGSTON. Stewards deemed LIL BIT SPECIAL to have failed to pursue the lure in terms of Rule 80.1.b and was stood down for a period of 28 days and ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial. |
Race 5 | David Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C4 - 295 | BIGTIME SLAMMER was slow to jump. Into the bend SAMUAL BAXTER tightened GROOVE ARMADA both losing ground. OUR SWEET ROSE was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed a skin laceration to the right rump with a 7 day stand down recommended. |
Race 6 | Barron's Supplies Stakes - C3/4 - 520 | KENDALE BALE was squeezed between dogs into the first bend settling last. SLICK RICK and ZITA GRACE came together around the first bend and into the back straight losing ground. At the end of the back straight ZITA GRACE crossed SLICK RICK who was checked as a result. |
Race 7 | Challenge Waimak Sprint - C4 - 295 | Into the bend REWIND HISTORY moved out off the heels of the leader NITRO PEGGY checking BLACK MUSKAT and TAIGA with BRASS KNUCKLES, ANOTHER MANGLES and CURVE BALL being forced wide. |
Race 8 | Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint - C5 - 295 | ELIE SAAB was slow to jump. Into the bend HALF AS MATE and TALIESIN BLUE came together when near the lead with HALF AS MATE striking the heels of AZURE OSTI and sustaining a check before being hit by a trailng KATIE MAC. TALIESIN BLUE also lost ground as a result, finishing at the rear with the other two dogs. HALF AS MATE was vetted which revealed a sore left hip on extension with a 10 day stand down recommended. |
Race 9 | Flair Stakes - C5 - 520 | OPAWA COLLAR moved away from the rail into the first bend resulting in WINSOME BUCKS, OPAWA SECRET, GENISTA ROCKET and CHARLIE STUBBS being badly checked. OPAWA SECRET was dragged down with GENISTA ROCKET failing when hit by a trailing CHARLIE STUBBS. A post race veterinary check revealed GENISTA ROCKET to have a fractured right hock with a 28 day stand down recommended. |
Race 10 | I Pave Concrete Sprint - C5 - 295 | TUNZA REVS was tightened into the bend coming back on INGA THE WINGA. |
Race 11 | Gary Denovan Memorial Stakes - C3 - 520 | CROSSFIRE MAX and FULL ON BOWIE came together around the first bend. |
Race 12 | www.containersdirect.co.nz Dash - C5 - 295 | KNOW LOVE was tightened in the run to the bend. Into the bend RUDE RODNEY was tightened by BUSINESS TIME coming back on ROTKARA LUCY, KNOW LOVE and BLAST FURNACE who were forced wide. BLAST FURNANCE was vetted post race which revealed a laceration to the inside of the left thigh which was sutured. A 10 day stand down was recommended. |
Race 13 | ANZAC Sprint - C4 - 295 | ZAMMY and CAWBOURNE HAPPY were checked when tightened by CAWBOURNE LORNA and CAWBOURNE CLICK as the drove towards the lead into the bend. |
Race 14 | Challenge Service Stations New Zealand Oaks - R/Af - 520 | DANGLE THE CARAT was checked when tightened by QUETEE JEWEL soon after the jump. Into the first bend BOTANY ANN checked out off MISS IDOL colliding with TIJAN who was forced out onto RUMOUR TISM and QUETEE JEWEL with RUMOUR TISM running very wide around the bend as a result. |
