Judicial report: Trainer DL ROBERTS was fined $100.00 after her representative MG ROBERTS admitted a breach of Rule 69.11 as a result of AKAISHA BALE, a starter in Race 4 weighing 1.7kgs above her last race start weight.
Handler VE KINGSTON was warned for a breach of Rule 68.2 when late to present WHAT JUSTICE for kennelling.
An application under Rule 82.5 was made by Trainer DL ROBERTS on 12 April 2010 in respect of LILETTE BALE who was stood down under Rule 82.1 at Southland on Thursday 8 April 2010. LILETTE BALE was examined by veterinarian DE MATHESON at 11.00am on 8 April 2010 and that revealed no evidence of injury. The restriction under Rule 82.1. was subsequently removed.

Race 1	Advance Pet Nutrition Sprint - C0 - 295	MULBERRY BLACK was slow to jump. Into the bend BOTANY BARB crossed COLD SENSATION with the two coming together and losing all chance. COLD SENSATION was vetted with no injury noted.
Race 2	Challenge Opawa All Up Stakes - C0 - 520	Both SLIGHTLY AMAZING and THRILLING EAGLE were slow to jump. MEDIVAC was tightened by dogs on his outer soon after the jump and MINI THE MOOCH was tightened into the first bend by an improving THRILLING EAGLE.
Race 3	Kolorful Kanvas Dash - C0 - 295	THRILLING PEACH was slow to jump. BULLFIGHTIN' JIMI and HEAVEN HAND were tightened soon after the jump. Around the bend BULLFIGHTIN' JIMI moved out off BEAT THE FOURCHE coming in contact with HEAVEN HAND. Soon after HOMEBUSH NESTOR moved out off the heels of BOTANY ANGELA colliding with BEAT THE FOURCHE. In the home straight HEAVEN HAND clipped the heels of BEAT THE FOURCHE and fell before regaining her feet to finish the event. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 4	www.containersdirect.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	WORTH WAITING clipped the heels of GRANT A STAR into the first bend.
Race 5	Garrard's Horse & Hound Dash - C1 - 295	WHAT JUSTICE and FROSTY BLONDE were slow to jump.
Race 6	Angler's Arms Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520	FANCY WAYS moved outwards into the first bend colliding with SOFA LOAFER who was forced out onto KNOW TEARS. SOFA LOAFER and KNOW TEARS came together around the bend when racing at the rear.
Race 7	I Pave Concrete Sprint - C1 - 295	HOMEBUSH BADGER came up with the lids. Into the bend GIMME A THRILL moved off the rail with SAFE AND SECURE and GENISTA COMANCHE being tightened coming back on BELFAST MUNCHA and HAREEBA GOLD with THRILLING SYBIL and TIM BAXTER being forced wide.
Race 8	Power Farming Stakes - C1 - 520	RED TIGER moved out off the rail into the first bend forced NATHAN OPAWA and KNOW TURBO together before KNOW TURBO struck the rear of SAFARI STORM, both being checked with a check to WOOF INGILLTAB. Both KNOW TURBO and SAFARI STORM were vetted with no injury detected.
Race 9	www.willywhatatstud.com Dash - C1 - 295	THRILLING HALLE turned in the boxes taking no competitive part in the race. She was ordered to undertake a box trial in terms of Rule 72.13. Both LES HART and KNOW OPTION were tightened into the bend.
Race 10	Shirley Veterinary Centre Sprint - C1 - 295	TUKURUA COLT ran in after the jump colliding with KNOW WONDER and losing ground. Into the bend GO WILD SHANE was forced onto the rail by dogs on his outer drifting out to finish last. A veterinary check revealed left shoulder pain on extension with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 11	Tuesday Place Pick Stakes - C0 - 520	INDENTURE, BOWDEN HILL and MISS SNOW ANGEL were slow to jump. Into the first bend KAZZ RAZZ clipped the heels of TEDDY MARCELLO with both losing momentum for a stride or two. BOWDEN HILL ran out around the first bend checking both MISS SNOW ANGEL and INDENTURE.
Race 12	George Calvert Cleaning Dash - C1 - 295	COT CASE CUTIE was checked by MULBERRY KING soon after the jump. Into the bend MULBERRY KING was tightened by PEG'S ANGEL who in turn was tightened soon after by THAT'S BIZAAR.
Race 13	Hampden Tavern Sprint - C2 - 295	JONES BAXTER was slow to jump. TRIPLEM HAND was tightened by WILLY'S PRIDE into the bend who lost ground coming back on JONES BAXTER who was checked as a result.
Race 14	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	Both SPIN A TITLE and LIAM TITLE were slow to jump. Into the bend REDLINE REVOLVER struck the heels of AVANZATA coming back and being struck by LIAM TITLE. Both REDLINE REVOLVER and LIAM TITLE lost ground holding up KARL BAXTER for a few strides. VAMPIRES SHADOW was subject to a veterinary examination which revealed the re occurence of a left hind outside web injury with a 14 day stand down recommended.
Race 15	$30,000 Pick 6 Leg 1 - C1 - 520	MAMAJA was slow to jump.
Race 16	David Emerson Consultancy Maiden Final - C0f - 520	LIFE'S GREAT was slow to jump. FOGGY STORM and TEMPTING OFFER collided into the first bend and continued to come together around the bend losing all chance. Into the home straight BOMBAY TRAM was observed to turn his head outwards and mar YALDHURST FLYER. Trainer BC DANN was shown the race film and it was the opinion of Stewards that BOMBAY TRAM was in breach of Rule 80.1.a. As a result the dog was stood down for a period of 28 days and ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial.
Race 17	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C2 - 295	SHIRAZ KEROMA and SORRY VANDERFORD came together soon after the jump. Into the bend CAWBOURNE DUNE, DAIMLER DAVE, SORRY VANDERFORD and ADDICTED TO LUV were checked when tightened. Just past the post SHIRAZ KEROMA clipped the heels of CAWBOURNE DUNE and fell heavily. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 18	Wilson's Sports Bar & T.A.B. Stakes - C2 - 520	Into the first bend BENJI LAFOURCHE was forced down onto the heels of LILETTE BALE sustaining a check and coming back on CAWBOURNE SNEAKY, DUDLEY RAMA and BILLYBOB RAY.
Race 19	Speight's Six Pack - C2 - 520	WHAT A MATE was slow to jump from the outside box. Across the top SEA ADMIRAL checked out off the heels of the leader SELF INFLICTED losing momentum for a stride or two.
Race 20	Back Here Thursday Sprint - C2 - 295	Into the bend KNOW LIFE clipped the heels of PURA LADY before being hit from behind by ARCHILLIES and falling. PURA LADY moved outwards as a result checking TEE CEE and PALOMINE. KNOW LIFE regained her feet to finish the race with a veterinary check revealing no injury.
