Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: SWIP TASTIC (J T McInerney) was presented to the vet to be re examined after being cleared of injury on the 31.03.2010 and had been stood down for 28 days under Rule 64.5
SWIP TASTIC was today found to be suffering pain in left wrist with a 14 days stand down reccomended, the stand down under Rule 64.5 was recinded.
trainer P Lowen advised the stewards by phone mid afternoon that he was having vehcile problems in the National Park area and would not be able to get his dog SWINGING ZORRO to the course, so he was scratched by the stewards and enquires are being made in to the breakdown.
BEAR CUB ( M Lozell) was called to be a swab dog after race 5, however this was scrapped due to the radio communication between the stewards and the security guard being staticy and the dog was not escorted to the kennel block, this situation has been rectified.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C3 - 305	THRILLING BASIL was awkwardly away from the boxes. HOMEBUSH PERCY made slight contact with the running rail as they raced in to the first turn HAILSTONE HERB raced wide throughout the race and did well to beat a couple of runners home.
Race 2	Guthrie Bowron Wanganui - C5 - 305	Soon after the start JULIE BAXTER came across on to BRADMAN'S WILLOW ,then kept heading for the rail and pushed on to WONGAWILLINEV and POWEFUL ENEMY who was able to muscle his way to the front and led all the way WONGAWILLIINEV was squeezed back to the rear as they raced in to the first turn and that was his lot.
Race 3	Wanganui Farm Supplies - C0 - 305	As the field left the boxes LANSVALE SPARK ran in as BLUE BULLET ran out and they both made contact with LOST FRIENDS for a stride and BLUE BULLET went back a length or so. TREY BAXTER was awkwardy away from the boxes and this may have cost him a closer finish As the field raced in to the first turn BLUE BULLET,LOST FRIENDS and CELIA FATE galloped awkwardly and were unbalanced for a few strides at that point
Race 4	Advance Pet Nutrition - C1 - 520	HONEY BOUND from box one raced out wide going in to the first turn and took THRILLING FEVER with her and HONEY BOUND ended up at the rear and never got back in to contention from there on in finishing in last position at the line.
Race 5	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Feature - C2 - 305	YA GUNNER and BEAR CUB both turned their heads to look for the lure as they left the boxes for a stride and chased hard from there on in. The stewards after reviewing the replay were satisfied that there was no malice intended by both dogs. As the field raced in to the first turn HOMEBUSH KELLYand CAWBOURNE SPARK came together and jostled for a few strides and they stayed in the rear thereafter. .
Race 6	Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C4/5 - 520	At the start BIGTIME GEM came across on to FATHER FIGURE and ADDIS JAY, as they raced down to the first turn BIGTIME GEM collided with ADDIS JAY a couple more times as she tried to get over to the fence, they came together again as they went around the first turn. KID DELANEY was a late scratching earlier in the morning and was presented by the trainer and was found to be suffering from an infected toe nail
Race 7	Pedigree For Dogs Feature - C2 - 305	HORSE POWER was slow away from the boxes and lost about five lengths ,made up some ground througout the race to beat a couple home. ART DECO was up handy as the field raced across the top bend and was noticed to lose his footing and become very unbalanced and lost ground to the rear and finished in last position at the line , a vet check was ordered by the stewards where no abnormalities were found. SWINGING ZORRO was a late scratching by the stewards as the trainer p lowen advised of vehcile problems in the National Park area and would not make it to the course on time.
Race 8	Mickey's Super Liquor - C2 - 520	BLAKES ANGEL and REZENDE collided soon after the start. racing down to the first turn GOSS SAGE had to check back over the heels of McCABE as they jostled for positions at that point
Race 9	Broad Roofing Services - C4 - 305	Soon after the start CRYSTAL VIRUS and OPAWA MEGASTAR came across the face of the field and caused severe crowding to RAPPER NEWY, HERE IN SPIRIT, CHINESE GIRL, CAWBOURNE DORE and BILLY WHIZ, these dogs were all badly checked and they lost all chance from that point. The first three dogs home were able to clear themselves from the earlier meelee . BILLY WHIZ was noticed to brush the rail racing in to the first turn due to being tightened at that point HERE IN SPIRIT (fav) beat one runner home and was sent for a vet check as a precaution where no abnormalities were found
Race 10	Bilderbeck Construction - C1 - 305	As the field raced away from the boxes CAWBOURNE BEAR came in as KILKENNY came out , PEACE ICON and PURE DESIRE were squeezed back to the rear of the field and they could not get in to contention from there on in. HOMEBUSH DAPHNE was up in a handy position and going foreward on the top bend when she had to change ground to avoid getting on heels and as a consequence was taken wide on the track by CAWBOURNE BEAR as they raced in to the home straight. HOMEBUSH DAPHNE ran last at the line ,but could be considered to have been very unlucky to have not filled a divedend bearing place
