Judicial report: SWIP TASTIC, who was scratched from the Manawatu meeting on 29.03.10 with a reported wrist injury was presented for the Vets examination at this meeting but no sign of any injury could be detected. As a result SWIP TASTIC was stood down for 28 days under Rule 64.5 and as there was no Senior representative from the J.T.McInerney kennel in attendance, an inquiry into the matter was opened and adjourned.
BOTANY TOM was a late scratching from race 8 at 3.35.p.m. due to suffering from kennel cough. The Club were never advised of the scratching by any represntative of the McInerney kennels and only received the information from the Head Steward when he was advised by a Junior employee of the kennels just prior to 3.35. p.m. As a result and again due to no Senior kennel representative being on course, an inquiry into the matter was opened and adjourned. The winner of race 5 BLACK IS BACK was nominated for swabbing but due to a communication problem, the dog was not escorted from the podium back to the kennels and the swab was abandoned.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C0 - 305	BIGTIME LUCKY was jostled between runners soon after the start and she went back to last and stayed in that position until the finish. BERN'S BUNNY was handy early in the race but was clipped from behind by HAMISH BAXTER on the bend and drifted back. BERN'S BUNNY then bumped with TYPHOON PETE entering the home straight and lost further ground and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 2	Mickey's Super Liquor - C0 - 520	OKAY'S BENNY BOY moved out from the rail in the `run to the first corner and checked ELEMENO PEA and GLAZE with ELEMENO PEA being the most affected and he lost three lengths and followed the field throughout to finish in last place.
Race 3	Wanganui Farm Supplies - C1 - 305	The start was delayed briefly due to difficulty in removing the collar from CAWBOURNE BEAR. One of the favourites YOUR ALL DONE was the slowest to begin from box 8 and then checked over the heels of CAWBOURNE BEAR on the bend and he never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 4	Guthrie Bowron Wanganui - C1 - 520	The eventual winner STAR TO EXCEL ran in from the start and checked OUR PLAYBOY who lost ground and settled in mid-field. MILVALE BALE and FLYBY EAGLE ran very wide over extra ground on the first bend.
Race 5	GEON Wellington - C1 - 305	RISING GAS was slow to begin and lost two lengths. HOMEBUSH DAPHNE and SHOWTIME ADDIS ran in from the start and this resulted in checks to KILKENNY and SUCH HOPE who went back to the rear and they stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 6	Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C1 - 520	GO BOOF went up with the box lids and lost three lengths. THRILLING FEVER was checked entering the back straight and dropped back onto TEN BY FIFTY and both dogs lost ground and stayed back to finish near the rear.
Race 7	Advance Pet Nutrition - C1f - 305	THRILLING VIRUS moved in on the first corner and caused a check to THRILLING TIM who dropped out to the rear and he never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 8	NZ Bred Feature - C2 - 520	SURFER CHICK moved in on the first corner and caused slight checks to HOMEBUSH WARRIOR, MYA FLYER and OKAY'S RHETT BEE but they recovered quickly without losing too much ground.
Race 9	Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH CINDY ran in sharply on the first corner and checked HOMEBUSH JOY who went back to last and stayed in that position to the finish.
Race 10	Gary Ross Decorator - C0 - 305	TREY BAXTER began a little awkwardly but was quickly back into stride and finished in 3rd place. BLUE BULLET ran out from the start and checked LOST FRIENDS, FAWN ALLEGRO and CELIA FATE who all lost ground. The three leading runners LANSVALE SPARK, BLUE BULLET and KARAKA ROYALE jostled together starting on the bend but quickly separated and went on to finish in 1st, 2nd and 4th places.
