Judicial report: Trainer B.O'Connell was firmly reminded of her obligations to ensure that any restraining aparatus is firmly attached after her Greyhound slipped its collar and escaped while being prepared to race. The dog was captured quickly and no further action was considered necessary.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned to allow for further questioning after a complaint from Handler J.McCook that Trainer A.Hall had allowed his dog to drink from a hose during pre race preparation.

Race 1	Quality Presentations Ltd Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375	TRAVEL THYME ran in and bumped with BLUE BULLET soon after the start and settled at the rear but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. BLUE BULLET moved in on the first corner and caused checks to OKAY'S BENNY BOY, PINTA GUINNESS, LITTLE RIDDLE and CHANGE YA NAME who all lost ground. MAN OH MAN shared the lead on the home turn but then eased and turned its head towards the inside dog before running on again for 2nd place. MAN OH MAN was examined by the Vet and a 10 day stand down was recommended due to a pectineus muscle injury. However MAN OH MAN was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b for failing to pursue the lure throughout and is required to complete a satisfactory trial.
Race 2	Company Branding Shop, Levin Sprint - C1 - 375	SCOTT NO FUNDING began awkwardly and lost a little ground. THRILLING WEB was the slowest to begin but recovered to finish in 2nd place. WHAT SHIRAZ, THRILLING JOSH and SCOTT NO FUNDING were all checked on the first corner and lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 3	Wenham Grain & Seed Sprint - C1 - 375	JACK BANNER had to ease off the heels of FLOYDY BOY on the bend and lost two lengths. CAWBOURNE ROD ran very wide over extra ground in the approach to the straight entrance and he finished in last place.
Race 4	Manawatu Sound Service Middle Distance - C1 - 457	All clear.
Race 5	Porter Hire Palmerston North Middle Distance - C1/2 - 457	HOMEBUSH WARRIOR and DOOLEY'S CHICK collided soon after the start and HOMEBUSH WARRIOR settled at the rear. BORN ENTERTAINER checked over the heels of BLAKE'S ANGEL on the first corner and moved out causing a check to SURFING AL and they never recovered and finished in the rear group.
Race 6	Kerb & Concrete Sprint Final - C4f - 375	UPAHUT ZORRO ran out from the start and caused tightening and checks to THRILLING MIX, SCOTT NO WIVES and WINNER SCHITZEL and he continued to move out and checked WINNER SCHITZEL and GOLD FOR THYS on the first corner and all three lost ground and all chance of a placing. THRILLING MIX who was checked early in the race made a strong forward move racing into the bend but then drifted back and he finished in last place. THRILLING MIX was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a quadricep muscle injury.
Race 7	Manawatu Security Fencing Sprint - C2 - 375	CAWBOURNE WILKO and RUSTY ENFORCER were slow to begin and could not make up the lost ground and finished in 5th and 7th places. LOOKS DECIEVING and BIGTIME ACHIEVER both ran wide into the straight over extra ground and LOOKS DECIEVING recovered to finish well to win while BIGTIME ACHIEVER finished in 6th place.
Race 8	The Simply Grey Project Sprint - C3 - 375	LAW'S HILL jumped out and FIVE KAY KAT jumped in at the start and THRILLING LARK and GO ZILLA who were drawn in between were checked back to the rear. The outright favourite GO ZILLA then ran very wide over extra ground throughout the race and finished in 6th place with THRILLING LARK finishing in last place.
Race 9	Radio Trackside 828AM Manawatu Six-Pack Sprint - C5 - 375	All clear.
Race 10	Outback Trading Company Ltd Middle Distance - C3/4 - 457	SUZY MAC and MIGHTY BIG SAM were a little slow to begin and lost ground. GOSS SAGE moved in on the first corner and NELLY JEAN who was racing inside had to ease back to avoid being pushed into the rail and she lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
