Judicial report: OUR PLAYBOY was a late scratching from race 1 after gaining a start in race 2 from the reserves and was inadvertantly left in the field for race 1. After receiving a written explanation outlining the difficult circumstances which the Clubs Secretary faced in relation to the matter, including the lack of current phone numbers for the dogs Trainer, no further action was deemed necessary.
STAR SEEKER was also a late scratching from race 10 after the Trainer advised the scratching to an e.mail address the previous evening and that e.mail was not discovered until after 7.30 on race morning. The Trainer was advised that in future, all scratchings should be advised to the phone numbers printed in the magazine and no other action was considered necessary.
B.Hunt the Trainer of THRILLING TASHA was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when the dog was presented 2.0 kilograms under its last race weight on 24.02.10.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C0 - 305	SHADES and GINGER BISCUIT were slow to begin and lost three lengths but they ran on to finish in 3rd and 4th places. MARCO'S MATE galloped on the heels of SINGLE SCULLER on the first corner and both lost ground and they finished well back. TUI CAN DO was handy on the bend but checked off the heels of LOST FRIENDS, ran wide over extra ground into the straight and finished in last place. GINGER BISCUIT also checked off the heels of LOST FRIENDS on the bend but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 2	Mickey's Super Liquor - C0f - 520	ALWAYS A PIRATE, THRILLING CAIRO and OKAY'S BENNY BOY were all checked and lost ground on the first corner. DOING THE TIME was checked going into the back straight losing several lengths and she stayed well back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 3	Wanganui Farm Supplies - C0 - 305	VITA GIRL and BLUE BULLET bumped together on the first corner and BLUE BULLET then ran wide over extra ground on the bend and finished in 2nd last place. WITHOUT FRIENDS was checked soon after the start when outside runners moved across and she went back to last and stayed in that position until the finish.
Race 4	Guthrie Bowron Wanganui - C1 - 520	HONEY BOUND ran in from the start and checked HOMEBUSH WARRIOR and soon after THRILLING BUSTA moved across and checked HOMEBUSH WARRIOR and HONEY BOUND who both lost ground and were in the rear group going into the first bend. HOMEBUSH WARRIOR recovered to finish in 3rd place with HONEY BOUND staying back to finish in 2nd last place. CAWBOURNE ROD and BLACK SAVOY were checked and lost ground on the final bend as THRILLING BUSTA moved through on the inside.
Race 5	GEON Wellington - C1 - 305	Soon after leaving the boxes METROPOL and HOMEBUSH JONAH came together for a couple of strides. PHANTOM FOG then ducked in across the race of METROPOL and as they raced in to the first turn MAD DECISION and METROPOL came together with METROPOL going back to the rear and finished in last place. She was sent for a Vet check which revealed a wrist injury requiring a 10 day stand down.
Race 6	Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C1 - 305	The favourite THRILLING SIMONE was slow to begin and she then galloped on the heels of UNO i'M QUICK near the first corner and both lost ground. HOMEBUSH CINDY ran in from the start and caused bumping and checks to CAWBOURNE MADZ and SYDENHAM PRETTY. On the first corner CAWBOURNE MADZ galloped on the heels of HOMEBUSH CINDY and went a little wide into the bend over extra ground.
Race 7	Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 8	Gary Ross Decorator - C1 - 305	BOTANY HENRY moved out on the bend and forced MISS TORI wide into the home straight over extra ground and she finished in last place.
Race 9	Broad Roofing Services - C1 - 305	YES MISS checked over the heels of HOMEBUSH KELLY approaching the straight entrance and moved out sharply causing a check to THRILLING VIRUS and they both lost several lengths and finished in the rear group. UPAHUT WITCH was observed to be a little sore following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a dew claw injury.
Race 10	www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C1 - 305	THRILLING TIM ran out and MISS ARKANSAS ran in soon after the start and they collided and lost a little momentum. THRILLING TIM was then awkwardly placed between runners on the first corner and was checked back to the rear and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. ANOTHER SAGE checked off the heels of PEACE ICON on the bend and then went off stride and finished in last place with an apparent injury. She was examined by the Vet and was euthanased due to a fractured hock.
