Judicial report: Trainer G.Hayden Holmes was fined $ 35-00 under Rule 71.4 when he failed to arrange a catcher for VICTOR MAKO in race 4.
Trainer D.Smith was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when KARAMU THUNDER was presented 1.6 kilograms under his last start weight on 25.02.10.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Force - C0 - 305	WHO NOSE FITZ drifted to the rear soon after the start and did not gallop correctly and continued to drop back to finish several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with wrist pain. KARAKA ROYALE appeared in some distress following the race and was also examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a metabolic problem. BLUE BULLET moved in on the first corner and checked WAIRERE MIRACLE who lost ground. Soon after, MARCO'S MATE galloped on the heels of BLUE BULLET with both runners losing ground and they finished in 4th and 5th places.
Race 2	Mickey's Super Liquor - C0q - 520 Heat 1	SURF SUNSET, SHADES and THRILLING CAIRO came together at the start and all lost ground and settled in the rear group. SURF SUNSET and THRILLING CAIRO recovered to finish in 2nd and 4th places but SHADES and WAHINE KURE ran wide over extra ground on the first bend and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. WAHINE KURE raced in last place and then eased when a clear gap was available on the final bend and she was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b and is required to trial.
Race 3	Wanganui Farm Supplies - C0 - 305	Two of the better supported runners HOMEBUSH WHITEY and THRILLING BUDDY were slow to begin. THRILLING BUDDY then ran a little wide on the bend forcing MILLIE SWANSON and HOMEBUSH WHITEY over extra ground and MILLIE SWANSON then checked off the heels of THRILLING BUDDY losing further ground. POLKA DOT was handy going to the first turn but was galloped on by THRILLING TAMMY and they both lost several lengths and finished in the last two places.
Race 4	Guthrie Bowron - C0q - 520 Heat 2	ALL ABOUT LOUD, OUR PLAYBOY and KOP ROAR all ran very wide on the first bend losing several lengths and they finished in the rear group.
Race 5	GEON Wellington - C1 - 520	The favourite SURFING AL began a little awkwardly losing ground but recovered quickly to be in 2nd place on the first bend and stayed in that position to the finish without ever looking likely to catch the winner. ROTOVEGAS GIRL was tightened between runners on the first corner and went back to 2nd last place and stayed back to finish in 6th place. COMET PRINCESS again tailed the field by several lengths throughout the race to finish in last place and was examined by the Vet but cleared of injury. The Trainer advised the Stewards that she was considering retirement for the dog but failing that the Stewards ordered that COMET PRINCESS is required to complete a satisfactory trial over a middle distance before racing at a Totalisator meeting.
Race 6	Kennan Concrete 6 Pack - C1 - 305	SAMBO WARRIOR was very slow to begin and he then ran very wide on the bend and finished in last place. PHANTOM FOG checked over the heels of CAWBOURNE MADZ in the run to the first corner and lost ground. CAWBOURNE MADZ ran in sharply on the first corner and struck the rail losing several lengths and finished in 2nd last place. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. HOMEBUSH JONAH checked of the heels of BIGTIME ACHEIVER on the bend and lost a little ground but recovered to finish in 2nd place.
Race 7	Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1 - 520	Soon after the start CAWBOURNE BOTROS and BLACK SAVOY came together and jostled for several strides. As the field rounded the home turn SHEZA RATBAG came out on to TURF MOOR and hampered him for a couple of strides.
Race 8	Gary Ross Decorator - C1 - 520	TRIPLE POUNDA ran out on the first corner and forced MANLY MAGIC and BIGTIME COWELL very wide over extra ground and they stayed well back and finished in the last three places.
Race 9	Broad Roofing Services - C1 - 305	YOUR ALL DONE and SYDENHAM PRETTY jostled together for several strides racing to the first corner and YOUR ALL DONE was eventually checked and fell. CLAN DOUGLAS, THRILLING VIRUS and HOMEBUSH MARLON were also affected in the incident and they all lost ground and finished in the rear group. YOUR ALL DONE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with wrist pain.
Race 10	www.wanganuicentre.com - C1 - 305	THRILLING CATCH began well enough to be mid field on the first corner but then faltered and dropped out to finish several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury at that time. STUMPY RELTUB ran out on the home turn and forced EVAMORE and HOMEBUSH KELLY very wide on the track and they finished near the outside fence.
