| Race 1 | Quality Presentations Ltd Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375 | OPTICAL MAN was the slowest to begin but recovered well to win the race. THRILLING BUDDY, THRILLING TAMMY and GLAZE were checked and lost three lengths on the first corner. THRILLING BUDDY recovered to finish well for 3rd place but the other two stayed well back. |
| Race 2 | Delta Drainage & Water Services Sprint - C1 - 375 | YOUR ALL DONE and HITMAN FRED moved in racing to the first corner and this resulted in a check to THRILLING DOLL who lost several lengths and all chance and finished in 6th place. Soon after, HITMAN FRED suffered an injury and dropped out quickly to finish a long last. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with a tensor fascia lata muscle injury. |

Soon after, BIGTIME PAL and THRILLING WEB collided and both lost ground with THRILLING WEB the most affected and he lost four lengths and tailed the field home with BIGTIME PAL in 7th place. |
| Race 4 | Bill Boyd & Associates Sprint - C2 - 375 | DRIVING FORWARD was slow to begin and settled in last place and she then ran very wide over extra ground and finished in last place. |
| Race 5 | Manawatu Security Fencing Middle Distance - C1 - 457 | One of the favourites WAITOTARA RED was checked soon after the start and lost ground. She then ran out wide and despite covering extra ground, she ran on very well to finish in 3rd place. |
| Race 6 | Outback Trading Company Ltd Middle Distance - C1 - 457 | THRILLING ASIA jumped out and BIGTIME GUY jumped in and this resulted in MUSTARD KEEN and ERIC PHOENIX who were drawn in between being checked and losing ground. MUSTARD KEEN recovered well to finish in 3rd place with ERIC PHOENIX not far behind in 6th place. |
| Race 7 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy MIddle Distance Final - C3f - 457 | RUMOUR TISM moved in racing to the first corner and caused checks to YORKLEA BEAUTY and THRILLING ANGEL who both lost ground from which they never recovered and they finished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Wenham Grain & Seed Sprint - C5 - 375 | One of the favourrites ANOTHER NICK appeared to be awkwardly placed on the rail inside SUPER SAGE when racing around the bend and made contact with the rail and finished in last place. He was examined by the Vet as a precaution and stood down for 7 days with a pectoral muscle injury. |
| Race 9 | Radio Trackside 828AM Manawatu Six-Pack Sprint - C4 - 375 | BIGTIME SURVIVOR had to ease off the heels of THRILLING GRIT on the first corner and lost two lengths but quickly recovered to go on and win the race. |
| Race 10 | Auckland Cup At Ellerslie On Wednesday Sprint - C3 - 375 | This race was started 3 minutes late at the request of the T.A.B. One of the favourites BACK DRAUGHT was galloped on by CAWBOURNE SPEED on the first corner and they both lost several lengths and finished in the last two places. MISS AGENT and LAW'S HILL were in 1st and 2nd places on the bend but both ran wide losing ground and this allowed OHAU WILLEE to race through on the rail and win with MISS AGENT and LAW'S HILL finishing in 2nd and 3rd places. |
