| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C1 - 305 | This race was started 2 minutes late at the request of the T.A.B MISSY OCTANE jumped out and BENBULBEN BEN jumped in at the start and this resulted in tightening and checks to CAWBOURNE BRIDE and TODD who both lost ground. MISSY OCTANE was handy to the first corner but was checked when CAWBOURNE MADZ moved down to the rail and MISSY OCTANE went back onto CAWBOURNE BRIDE and BENBULBEN BEN who also lost ground and they finished in the last three places. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1 - 520 | ASK THE BANDIT was away well and handy in 3rd place going into the back straight but was galloped on by ROTOVEGAS GIRL and almost fell losing several lengths and he tailed the field from there to the finish. |
| Race 3 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C1/2 - 305 | General tightening from both inside and outside runners resulted in HOMEBUSH MARLON losing ground soon after the start and he stayed well back and finished in 6th place. DRIVING FORWARD drew box 1 and led to the first corner but then ran wide on the bend and into the straight over extra ground but she maintained a strong run to the line to finish a close 2nd. HOMEBUSH JUST was checked on the first corner and soon after THRILLING FEVER was also checked and they never recovered and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 4 | Advance Pet Nutrition - C1/2 - 305 | THRILLING ZING who drew box 1 moved out from the rail in the run to the first corner and caused jostling and tightening to WHAT WAYS HOME and BIGTIME MOE who both lost momentum and WHAT WAYS HOME eventually ran out of room and fell. HE was examined by the vet and stood down for 7 days with pain in a pectoral muscle and wrist. BIGTIME MOE lost ground in the incident and finished in 4th place. |
| Race 5 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C3 - 520 | This race was started 2 minutes late at the request of the T.A.B. BIGTIME ALLSTAR moved through inside BOTANY ADAM on the first corner and bumped that runner who ran wide forcing SERIOUS CHARGE to race wide over extra ground on the bend. BOTANY ADAM and SERIOUS CHARGE both lost ground in the incident and they finished in 6th and 7th places. MYA FLYER began to lose ground from the first corner and continued to drift back and finished several lengths last. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with general muscle soreness and acidosis. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C1/2 - 520 | This race was started 2 minutes late at the request of the T.A.B. WANDY KYLE checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE BOTROS on the first corner. He then took some time to secure a run inside CAWBOURNE BOTROS on the final bend but once through the gap, he ran on for 4th placing. COMET PRINCESS was unable to keep up with the early pace and dropped away to be several lengths last but did make up some ground over the final stages but finished last. |
| Race 7 | Pedigree For Dogs - C3 - 305 | FIVE KAY KAT, THRILLING LEE and FLASHFIRE COAL jostled together soon after the start and again in the run to the first corner and they lost ground on each occasion and finished in the last three places. |
| Race 8 | Mickey's Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520 | GOSS SAGE was checked entering the back straight and dropped back onto CAWBOURNE KING and they stayed well back and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services - C4/5 - 305 | DANDALOO BLUE, HUTT PARK FLYER and GUNNADOO KNIGHT bumped together for several strides soon after the start and HUTT PARK FLYER then ran in and checked CAWBOURNE BESS who had been slow to begin but was going forward on the rail. CAWBOURNE BESS lost further ground in the incident and she stayed back and finished in last place. WONGAWILLINEV led in the approach to the straight entrance but was bumped by the eventul winner SWIFT CONQUEST as that runner moved up on the inside and WONGAWILLINEV lost ground as a result but recovered to finish in 2nd place. |
| Race 10 | Bilderbeck Construction - C4 - 305 | UPAHUT ZORRO ran out from the start and bumped AWESOME VINTAGE on two occasions. STAR CONQUEST and PENIE'S FROM made contact several times on the bend until STAR CONQUEST went ahead to win with PANIE'S FROM finishing in 3rd place. TRICKY PAULA and AWESOME VINTAGE collided on the first corner losing several lengths and they finished in the last two places. |
