| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C2 - 305 | Soon after the start ASK THE BANDIT (fav) and YA GUNNA came out off the rail a couple of widths and then ASK THE BANDIT tried to go in as DREAM SEEKER came across and these dogs were tightened ,resulting in YA GUNNER almost making contact with the rail , ASK THE BANDIT was squeezed back to the rear YA GUNNER recovered to finish in 3rd placing at the line but ASK THE BANDIT couldn't get back in to contention and finished midfield |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C2/3 - 305 | Soon after leaving the boxes PENIE'S FROM and DOOLEY'S CHICK came together for a stride. On entering the first trun JOSHIE'S GIRL was near the lead and was leaned on for several stides by FLASHFIRE COAL and this caused her to become unbalanced as she tried to keep her ground and she lost ground back through the field and finished towards the rear. PSYCHOTIC was forced to race wide in to and around the top bend and had to change ground outwards further to avoid the heels ofFLASHFIRE COAL as they raced in to the home turn and this caused her to cover a lot of extra ground throuout the race beating only one home |
| Race 3 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C2 - 305 | A two minute delay to the start of this race at the request of raceday control. THRILLING BASIL went up with the lids and lost several lengths. As the field made their way to the home turn FAST STASS came out as HOMEBUSH MARLON came in and they came together and came out on to BACK AT YA and they all were unbalanced for a few strides and lost ground at a vital stage |
| Race 4 | Advance Pet Nutrition - C2/3 - 520 | TRIPPLE TEE and RUMOUR TISM collided soon after leaving the boxes racing in to the first turn BIGTIME ALL STAR came across on to WANDY KYLE ,TRIPLE TEE and RUMOUR TISM ,all these dogs were severly hampered in this incident and went back through the field towards the rear. Soon after entering the back straight MINI ZILLA got up on the heels of YORKLEA BEAUTY and fell heavily, MINI ZILLA recovered her feet and carried on to finish some distance behind the field and was sent for a vet check and was found to have suffered bruising only with a 7 day stand down reccomended |
| Race 5 | Crombie Lockwood (nz) Ltd - C2/3 - 305 | SWIP TASTIC was a late scratching at kenneling due to due to diahorrea with a 10 days stand down reccomended ANOTHER JENNY was slow away and lost several lengths. As the field raced down to the first turn THRILLING CAM came across on to CRYSTAL SAL, MISS AGENT, and HOMEBUSH HOUDINI causing these dogs to be severly checked and they lost several lengths ,also the winner BACK DRAUGHT cut across the face of them to the lead and was able to get a break on the field . CRYSTAL SAL and ANOTHER JENNY ran wide in to and around the top turn and this cost them in the finish ,they filled the last two placings at the line. |
| Race 6 | NZ Racing Series Distance Final - 6 Pack - NZRSdf - 755 | CALM RIP and TEEGAN began awkwardy from the boxes. MADDER THAN came across soon after the start and tightened CALM RIP for a few strides ,however CALM RIP didn't lose her position at that point. This race was delayed two minutes at the request of raceday control |
| Race 7 | Pedigree for Dogs - C5f - 305 | Soon after leaving the boxes HIFI ALLEGRO raced across the face of the field and caused tightning and severe checks to SWIFT CONQUEST, BRADMAN'S WILLOW, UPAHUT ZORROW and LES BAXTER. UPAHUT ZORROW was squeezed back to the rear from this incident and lost several lengths , LES BAXTER recovered well after running out on to BOB BAXTER as they raced on to the first bend and finished in 4th position at the line |
| Race 8 | Mickey's Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520 | FATHER FIGURE was awkwardly away from the boxes and SHIFTY DOONS came across on on to him and he was checked back to the rear at that point, then BIGTIME RELOADER came across on to GOSS SAGE MAJOR HIT ,UNCLE BULLY who collided with FATHER FIGURE who was trying to keep his ground just off the rail UNCLE BULLY kept pushing up on the rail until he cleared traffic and went on for a gutsy win. FATHER FIGURE made up ground as they raced in to the back straight and had to push his way up on the inside of BIGTIME RELOADER and then was noticed to lose ground for some distance and was observed to be uncomfortable in his action and was sent for a vet check and was found to be suffering pain on right triceps muscle with a 5 day stand down reccomended |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services - C5 - 305 | ANOTHER BAXTER and BOTANY ANN came together as they went in to the first turn . |
| Race 10 | Keenan Concrete, Wanganui - C4 - 305 | Soon after the start CRYSTAL VIRUS came in as STAR CONQUEST came out and SET IN STONE was caught in the middle received some jostling for a couple of strides LEATHER JACKET got away well at the start ,but soon went back and got up on the back of STAR CONQUEST as they went in to the first turn ,LEATHER JACKET lost ground from that point on and ran last at the line and was noticed to be lame in the right hind and was sent for a vet check where he was found to have suffered a torn triangle muscle with a 28 day stand down reccomended. TRIAL BAY was a late scratching at kenneling due to pain in upper left radius with a 21 day stand down reccomended |
