| Race 1 | Meadowset Graphics Sprint - C1 - 318 | BIGTIME MOE ran inwards from an outside draw causing tightening to PRINCESS WHALE, GAS GUZZLER and KARAMU THUNDER who lost varying degrees of ground. Shortly after this TONY'S PEDRO received a check when crossed by REVENANT and dropped back throught the field into the bend. On the home bend an improving GAS GUZZLER was checked when looking for room on the inside of WINSOME KELLY and lost his momentum. PRINCESS WHALE was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed right hind split webbing with a fourteen day stand down recommended. |
| Race 2 | New Zealand Racing Series Heat 1 - NZRSq - 527 Heat 1 | CARMIA MATANNA received a slight check into the first bend and lost momentum as EMBEZZLEMENT crossed from her outside. |
| Race 3 | New Zealand Racing Series Heat 2 - NZRSq - 527 Heat 2 | RASMAH was a clear last on settling but made ground steadily to pounce on the leaders at the end of the back straight and win convincingly. BENGINEER, BOTANY ADAM and HARAJUKU BOY all came together on the first bend while soon after BIGTIME GEM checked outwards off WILL SHE ECHO and lost ground. On the entrance to the back straight TIGGER FOOT checked off runners and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 4 | Terry Ryan Timber Sprint - C5 - 318 | TO THE CREST and LADY HEATHER came together along the inside into the bend with TO THE CREST then running outwards. This caused a chain reaction with LADY HEATHER, SURFIN' MINT, JULIE APPEAL and PRINCESS SNOWY all being forced wide and losing their chances. PRINCESS SNOWY appeared to brush the outside fence in this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. Following this race SURFIN' MINT was taken off the "box first" list. |
| Race 5 | $25,000 Pick6 Stakes - C1 - 527 | This race was delayed by two minutes at the request of Raceday Control. ZERO RANGER was last to jump. SAMBO WARRIOR received a bump from JET MINT as this runner ran out from the inside with SAMBO WARRIOR dropping to the rear. This runner continued to lose ground finishing a long last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. This dog was given the benefit of the doubt due to the knock he received during the running but his future starts will be closely monitored. |
| Race 6 | Thornton Auctions Stakes - C1 - 527 | BIGTIME COWELL was slow from the inside settling last. On the first bend HOTWAX ran outwards checking CAWBOURNE BOTROS who lost ground and dropped to the rear. |
| Race 7 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C3 - 318 | JULIE MAY appeared to dip and run inwards hitting the rail with some force at the end of the back straight. WILD FLYNN, FANCY EEL and CAWBOURNE GREG received severe checks in this incident with a post race veterinary check of JULIE MAY revealing skin lacerations and a cut vein requiring sutures with a fourteen day stand down recommended. FANCY EEL was removed from the "box first" list after this event. |
| Race 8 | Carol's TABs Sprint - C4 - 318 | Favourite SEELEY BOOTH was last to jump from the inside. SEELEY BOOTH and SPRING ADMIRAL came together for a stride towards the end of the back straight while on the home bend SEELEY BOOTH ran outwards pushing PRIVATE PEDRO over extra ground. |
| Race 9 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Stakes - C5 - 527 | This event was delayed by four minutes at the request of Raceday Control. OSTI'S RUBY ducked in for a stride soon after the jump and checked SHADOW BOXER. Favourite LITTLE MOTHER was held up around the first bend and lost momentum as BUT WHY NOT ran outwards for a stride. Once clear of this runner LITTLE MOTHER made good ground for second. |
