| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C1 - 305 | CAWBOURNE SPARK moved in on the first corner and caused checks to THRILLING BLADE, HOMEBUSH WIGGLE and HOMEBUSH CINDY who all lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the last three places. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron Wanganui - C3/4 - 305 | JUST LIKE BEE and TRIAL BAY collided on the first corner and lost ground and they finished in the rear group. |
| Race 3 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C1/2 - 305 | ROYAL MINTY was the slowest to begin and was then checked in the run to the first corner losing two lengths. She then ran wide into the straight forcing DOOLEY'S CHICK and SHARIMORE wide over extra ground and they finished in the last three places. One of the favourites ASK THE BANDIT was handy to the first corner but was checked soon after and lost three lengths. He did not appear to be galloping correctly from there and finished in 5th place. ASK THE BANDIT was examined by the Vet and was cleared of injury. |
| Race 4 | Advance Pet Nutrition - C1/2 - 305 | TRIPLE POUNDA ran in from the start and jostled with HOMEBUSH MARLON and THRILLING BASIL for several strides and they settled at the rear and stayed back to finish in the last three places. |
| Race 5 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C2/3 - 520 | MINI ZILLA ran in from the start and bumped with BIGTIME ALLSTAR and BARKHAMSTED and all three lost ground. BOTANY TOM and MINI ZILLA bumped together on the first corner and MINI ZILLA was in last place and wide on the first bend but made up ground well to finish in 5th place. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C3 - 305 | PSYCHOTIC and CLASSIC BEN were slow to begin losing three lengths. THRILLING LEE was checked back to last in the run to the first turn and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. DRIVING FORWARD drew box 1 but ran out running to the first corner and was very wide on the bend and into the straight and finished in last place. |
| Race 7 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C5q - 305 Heat 1 | SWIFT CONQUEST was slow to begin and settled at the rear. He was then checked and forced wide into the bend when THRILLING BRUTE moved out and they finiished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Mickey's Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520 | The favourite GONE ZILLA settled fairly well back and was then checked entering the back straight as RAPPER NEWY moved past on the outside. GONE ZILLA dropped out to last and stayed in that position to the finish. He was examined by the Vet and was stood down for 14 days with pain in the right wrist. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services - C5q - 305 Heat 2 | UPAHUT ZORRO ran out soon after the start and checked WONGAWILLINEV who lost ground but then recovered to finish in 3rd place. FIND PEDRO checked off the heels of SAMUAL BAXTER on the bend and went back to last. He then ran very wide into the straight and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 10 | Bilderbeck Construction - C3/4 - 305 | LEATHER JACKET and NATASHA'S DUFFER jostled together soon after the start and dropped out to the rear. NATASHA'S DUFFER recovered to finish in 4th place but LEATHER JACKET ran very wide on the bend and finished in 2nd last place. The favourite SCOTT NO WIVES raced onto the back of WHATA BOWLA on the first corner and they lost four lengths and all chance of a first four placing. |
