Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainers P&B Conner were fined $100 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the greyhound THRILLING EAGLE, a starter in Race 2, at 36.9kg which was 2.00kg higher than his last race start weight on 4 February 2010.

Race 1	Added Energy Welcome - C0 - 390	THRILLING PEACH slipped and stumbled upon leaving the starting boxes and was last on the turn but ran on well in the home straight for 5th. In the run to the bend MISTY SHADOW and BLUE RAGE came together and lost momentum.
Race 2	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 457	TEMPTING OFFER and THRILLING ROBYN were slow to jump. As TEMPTING OFFER crossed over from the jump he struck the rear of THRILLING EAGLE. All three dogs lost all chances to finish at the rear. Into the turn RED TIGER lost ground when coming into contact with TEMPTING OFFER and FUNNY LAD.
Race 3	$26 Five Wire Muzzle Stakes - C1 - 457	HANDSOME HAND ran out very wide from the jump and lost ground to finish well back.
Race 4	Bounce B Powder - C0 - 390	From the jump MUSCOVITE ran inwards and THRILLING AZZ ran outwards severely checking the running of CHOOK CHOOK, CAWBOURNE MADZ and OUR MONICA.
Race 5	Molly O'Gradys - C1 - 457	Into the turn MALROY crossed over and forced the early leader WEE SHADOW into CAWBOURNE WOODY then WEE SHADOW was struck and turned sideways by an improving THRILLING CYBIL. After the race WEE SHADOW was subject to a veterinary check which showed a ruptured left hind 3rd toe and a torn nail on the 4th with a 28 day stand down recommended.
Race 6	Stamina Plus Powder - C2 - 457	All clear.
Race 7	Southland & Otago Photo Finish - C1 - 390	From the jump ROTKARA MOMENTS ran sharply inwards and checked the running of ACE DRUMARD.
Race 8	NZ Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 1	In the run to the turn as the field tightened ALBIE'S LAD was clipped in the rear by KNOW LOVE and lost ground to finish last. Into the turn TARYN ROSE was checked as HOMEBUSH REECE crossed over and went back through the field to finish towards the rear.
Race 9	Osborn Engineering, Bluff - C1 - 390	WOOF INGILLTAB and WHITE PHOSPHORUS were slow to jump. In the run to the turn OPAWA MISSY ran outwards and severely checked the rapidly improving WHITE PHOSPHORUS with a resultant check to HOMEBUSH BONITA. On the turn GO WILD SHANE and WOOF INGILLTAB came together twice and lost momentum.
Race 10	NZ Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 2	From the jump KNOW QUESTION ran outwards and checked the running of WINSOME OPAWA. In the run to the turn KNOW QUESTION came into contact several times with WINSOME OPAWA before running wide on the turn. WINSOME OPAWA ran down to the rail and ran on strongly in the home straight for third.
Race 11	Kelvin Hotel - C1 - 390	All clear.
Race 12	$25 Yard Muzzle Stakes - C2 - 390	As the field came together into the turn WINSOME FLYER checked off the rear of VERONICA with a resultant check to KNOW SPORTY.
Race 13	Brendon Burke @ Southernwide - C4 - 390	At the jump ELITE BAXTER went up with the lids and lost ground. Into the turn the field tightened with MARLENE'S BABY squeezed for space and going back on top of a trailing ELITE BAXTER with both dogs losing ground to finish well back.
Race 14	Ascot Park Hotel - C2 - 390	KILKENNY jumped awkwardly and lost several lengths losing all chances to finish towards the rear.
Race 15	S.R. Double D Syndicate - C5 - 390	From the jump BOB BAXTER pushed outwards and checked the running of ZITA GRACE.
