| Race 1 | Allied Workforce 0800 Labour - C2 - 305 | CAP FANTASTIC was the slowest to begin and then dropped out soon after to run several lengths behind the 2nd last runner and finished a long last. His galloping action appeared very awkward and after the Vets examination he was stood down for 28 days with a gracilus muscle injury. SPECTRA CONQUEST ran very wide on the bend and into the home straight over extra ground and she finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron Wanganui - C1 - 520 | TURF MOOR and DEL TONES were tightened and checked on the first corner, went back to the rear and stayed there to finish in the last two places. The eventual winner MINI ZILLA moved in on the final bend and checked HOMEBUSH NICK who lost three lengths and his momentum and he finished in 4th place. |
| Race 3 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C2 - 305 | THRILLING BASIL checked off the heels of THRILLING LEE racing to the first corner but he recovered to finish in 2nd place. HOMEBUSH JUST moved out on the first corner and forced FORGET NOT to race very wide on the bend over extra ground and she finished in last place. |
| Race 4 | Advance Pet Nutrition - C1 - 520 | BIGTIME BALLAD moved out on the home turn and marred SMART JOSEPHINE and marred her again in the home straight. As a result, BIGTIME BALLAD was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 a and is required to trial under Rule 81.1. |
| Race 5 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C2/3 - 305 | DRIVING FORWARD checked off the heels of TRICKY PAULA on the first corner and went back to last. Soon after HOMEBUSH PERCY and ROBUST BOY bumped together for several strides and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in the last two places. On the bend, ELITE BAXTER rolled away from the rail and made contact with LEUMEAH MISS for a few strides and they both lost ground but recovered to finish in 1st and 3rd places. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 pack - C2/3 - 520 | One of the favourites BARKHAMSTED began very awkwardly losing ground and was last with a circuit to run. He then secured a clear run through on the rail to make up ground and finished in 3rd place. |
| Race 7 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C2/3 - 305 | The favourite WONGAWILLISTEVE was the slowest to begin but secured a clear rails run and went on to win the race. DOOLEY'S CHICK was 2nd to the first corner but checked over the heels of FAST STASS and went back and out onto PSYCHOTIC and they both lost four lengths and any chance of a first four placing. AWESOME VINTAGE checked over the heels of FAST STASS on the bend but recovered to run on for 2nd place. |
| Race 8 | Mickey's Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520 | This race was started two minutes late at the request of the T.A.B. BIGTIME RELOADER and GONE ZILLA jostled together for several strides on the first bend and lost some momentum and soon after, OKAY'S DERMATOFF galloped on the heels of BIGTIME RELOADER who lost five lengths in the incident and she stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services - C4/5 - 305 | UPAHUT ZORRO ran out from the start and hindered HOMEBUSH LENNY for a few strides. He continued out and ran across the heels of RAPPER NEWEY who received a slight check and UPAHUT ZORRO then raced out wide over extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. WONGAWILLINEV was tightly placed between SCOTT NO WIVES and SWIFT CONQUEST in the race to the first corner and he was eventually checked losing several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 10 | www.wanganuicarecentre.com - C4/5 - 305 | LEATHER JACKET galloped on the back of STAR CONQUEST on the first corner and they went back and out and this resulted in interferance to BRASS KNUCKLES, JILL BAXTER and SAINT DANIEL and all five dogs lost ground in the incident and they finished in the last five places. |
