Race 1 | Trophies Plus Series Heat 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 | REVENANT was tightened into the bend by WILLEE WINDSOR and lost ground. WILLEE WINDSOR made ground well for third. Wider out STILL NO TRACK and KARAMU THUNDER came together with STILL NO TRACK taking a spectacular fall. A post race veterinary check revealed a sprained tail with a ten day stand down recommended. |
Race 2 | Trophies Plus Series Heat 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 2 | DURHAM ASSASSIN came up with the lids and settled last. He did well to finish second. Pressure from FLYBY RADAR wide out into the bend tightened TONY'S PEDRO and VALIDICTION with all of these runners losing ground. |
Race 3 | Bounce & Play Stakes - C1/2 - 527 | MISS JETSUN checked outwards off the rail on the first bend and lost ground with MADDER THAN also losing some momentum at this stage. MADDER THAN made up a stack of ground to run third. |
Race 4 | Terry Ryan Timber Sprint - C5 - 318 | BUT WHY NOT was tightened to the rear by NATURAL JOURNEY into the first bend and remained well back throughout. |
Race 5 | $15,000 Pick6 Stakes - C3 - 527 | On the home turn COVELLE ran inwards when improving tightening BOON DOCK and contacting STARSHINE GIRL for s stride. |
Race 6 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Stakes - C1 - 527 | MCCABE was slow to jump from the inside. Into the first bend ARCTIC DREAM and ROTOVEGAS GIRL came together due to tightening from their outside. ROTOVEGAS GIRL made ground for fourth. |
Race 7 | Chilli's Restaurant & Bar Family Day Stakes - C4/5 - 527 | TALEVERO came up with the lids and lost a lot of ground. He passed two runners in the run home. |
Race 8 | Carol's TABs Sprint - C4 - 318 | GOOGLE MAGOO and PAYNEFUL TRUTH were both slow to jump. At the end of the back straight JULIE APPEAL and HAILEY'S AGENT were both tightened along the inside losing ground with GOOGLE MAGOO being held up in behind them. HAILEY'S AGENT recovered well to run third. PAYNEFUL TRUTH was difficult to box in this event and after discussions with handler Denis Schofield it was agreed that this dog would be boxed first in its immediate starts. |
Race 9 | Auckland Anniversary Day Cup - C5 - 527 | ALFA DANCER and RASMAH were the last to jump. RASMAH did exceptionally well to get into second. Into the first bend ALFA DANCER and SHE'S TOO COOL were both tightened and drifted to the rear. |
Race 10 | Trophies Plus Series Heat 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 3 | MARCO'S PAL crossed SHOWTIME ADDIS on the home turn and stumbled for a stride with CHAS MAC being checked in behind them. HOMEBUSH WIGGLE was inclined to run outwards in the home straight resulting in SUCH HOPE being tightened for room over the final stages as THRILLING FORCE was finishing quickly on their outside. |
