Race 1 Elvin Hibbs Memorial - C5 - 295 Into the bend LINCOLN BRAND and ALBIE'S STAR moverd down towards the rail from their outside draws resulting in KNOW NEED, WATTLE YOU BEE, HOMEBUSH REECE, BOB BAXTER and ALBIE'S STAR being badly checked.
Race 2 George Thomas Memorial - C3 - 295 SORRENT SUN was slow to jump. SCARLETT EMPRESS was tightened by dogs on her outer into the bend. Across the top HOMEBUSH BEST and PURA LADY came togtehr for a number of strides. Turning for home HOMEBUSH BEST was hit from behind by SORRENTO SUN drifting out to finish last. A veterinary check revealed a right hock strain with a 21 day stand down recommended.
Race 3 Jackie McLay Memorial - C1/2 - 520 CROSSFIRE MAX missed the jump by four lengths. BROTHERLY TIES was tightened between dogs into the first bend settling a clear last.
Race 4 Dave Davies Memorial - C3 - 295 KNOW FAITH checked BOMBER MAN and ROYAL LYCAON soon after the jump. PAUA TO EXCEED and TALENT CITY were tighened into the bend.
Race 5 Dave Busch Memorial - C4 - 520 WANDY HAKA was slow from the boxes. Around the first bend CYBER BLUE and LINE UP came together losing ground.
Race 6 Pat Cagney Memorial - C5 - 295 ANOTHER MANGLES (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a right hind web tear. The trainers representative, Johnathan McInerney reported he became aware of the tear when the dog was examined by the club veterinarian. The club veterinarian confirmed he found the tear when examining the dog at kennelling time. There was no blood visible and blood appeared when he rubbed the web. Around the bend CAFE CAPRI ran out colliding with LES BAXTER who lost ground. A veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 7 Colin Counsell Memorial - C5 - 520 DELUSIONIST was tightened between dogs into the first bend before checking out off DEAL FOR YOU resulting in SMASH McCOY running wide around the bend. SENSATIVE HARRY was observed to peel away from the lure at the finish of the race. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss.
Race 8 Gerald & Lindsay Cleeve Memorial - C4 - 295 KNOW DESIRE ran in after the jump checking TARYN ROSE. Into the bend ROTKARA LUCY ran outwards checking KNOW DESIRE, CHILE WILL HE and ROCKA HULA.
Race 9 Ritchies Coachlines Six Pack - C1/2 - 520 HARBOUR BALE was dragged down and badly checked by JODIE BALE into the first bend drifting out to finish last. A veterinary check revaled the dog to have cramped up with no stand down recommended.
Race 10 Ethel Sibley Memorial - C4 - 295 DOUGSTAR JAKE (Fagan/Stapleton) was a late scratching at kennelling with a right fore 4th toe ligament rupture. Co trainer Dean STAPLETON reported that the dog had only been walked since racing last Tuesday, and had been bathed on race morning by his training partner. She had observed nothing untoward. On emptying the dog out at the raceway prior to kennelling he observed signs of lameness. The club veterinarian reported that the toe ligament showed no signs of swelling at the time of his examination. ELITE BAXTER was slow to jump and when improving along the rail into the bend was tightened by KNOW GOOD, before checking out off the dog and taking HE'S SO FINE wide. HE'S SO FINE and GROOVE ARMADA were tightened soon after the jump.
