| Race 1 | Manawatu Security Fencing Maiden Middle Distance - C0 - 457 | BOSTON JAZZ was handy enough on the first corner but was then checked and dropped back onto BLACK SAVOY with both dogs losing three lengths and they finished in mid field. DOING THE TIME drew box 8 and was the slowest away and she then raced out wide over extra ground and finished in last place. |
| Race 2 | Bill Boyd & Associates Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375 | PIN UP PUPPY, MAN OH MAN and HAWTHORN HAWK were all checked on the first corner with MAN OH MAN and HAWTHORN HAWK being the most affected and they lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in the last two places. PIN UP PUPPY also lost ground but recovered to run on well for 3rd placing. HAWTHORN HAWK suffered a hock injury and was euthanased. |
| Race 3 | Total Irrigation Central Ltd Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375 | ANSWERS BACK, GINGER BISCUIT, MARCO'S MATE and HOMEBUSH KARLY were checked on the first corner and they all ran wide into the bend losing further ground and they finished in the last four places. |
| Race 4 | Outback Trading Company Ltd Middle Distance - C1 - 457 | CYCLONE TRAVIS was away best of all and led to the first corner and was still in the leading group on the home turn when he was struck from behind by DASH. CYCLONE TRAVIS suffered an injury in the incident and quickly dropped out to finish a long last. He was examined by the Vet and euthanased due to a hock injury. UPAHUT CITY fell after the finish line and was also examined by the Vet as a precaution and stood down for 10 days with a pectoral muscle injury. |
| Race 5 | Pain Security Services Sprint - C1 - 375 | THRILLING FELIX went up with the box lids at the start and settled at the rear. BACK AT YA ran out from the start and forced CRYSTAL KATIE a little wide in the run to the first corner. One of the better supported runners PURE TEMPTATION was handy in the early and middle stages but faded in the run home and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 6 | Radio Trackside 828AM Manawatu Six-Pack Sprint - C2 - 375 | ASK THE BANDIT was handy in the race to the first corner but was checked back to last and stayed in that position to the finish. |
| Race 7 | Porter Hire Palmerston North Sprint - C1 - 375 | EVAMORE was a little slow to begin and she and ALL ABOUT MILLY were then checked on the first corner losing several lengths and they did not recover and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Trophy Specialists & Engraving Ltd Sprint - C1 - 375 | The eventual winner MARCO'S PAL ran in from the start and checked JASON BOURNE, HOMEBUSH WIGGLE and WHAT'S SHE PAYNE who all settled at the rear. WHAT'S SHE PAYNE recovered to finish in 4th place. HOMEBUSH WIGGLE checked over the heels of WHAT'S SHE PAYNE on the first corner and lost ground and she finished in 6th place. |
| Race 9 | The Simply Grey Project Sprint - C1 - 375 | MUSTARD KEEN was slow to begin losing three lengths. MUSTARD KEEN lost further ground on the first corner when MAGNIFICENT was checked and dropped back onto her but she recovered well to make up ground and finished in 5th place. MAGNIFICENT stayed back after the check and he finished in last place. |
| Race 10 | Wellington Cup 800 Metres Short At Trentham Middle Distance - C2/3 - 457 | The eventual winner SUZY MAC ran out sharply from the start and checked YORKLEA BEAUTY who lost some ground. SUZY MAC raced out wide until the first corner and went on to win the race. |
