Track: Good The track was initially a bit firm owing to the hot weather ,but was well watered througout the day and provided a good racing surface.
Scales: correct at all weights

Judicial report: An inquiry was opened and adjourned in to an allegation of abusive language from one club employee to another club employee

Race 1	Vision Manawatu Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375	From the jump WILLEE WINDSOR ran straight across the face of PIN UP PUPPY,ANSWERS BACK,, PING PONG MAGOO causing these dogs to be severly checked and lose ground at that stage WAIWERE MIRACLE came out of midfield from the jump and cannonned in to PING PONG MAGOO in this incident and went back to the rear As the field raced across the top PIN UP PUPPY ran on to the back of TEE KAY MASSIVE momenterily and this caused TEE KAY MASSIVE to run outwards and raced very wide in to the home straight ANSWERS BACK also raced wide in to the first turn and around the top bend ,covering a lot of extra ground throuout the running
Race 2	Quality Presentations Ltd Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375	DEL,S DANDY was 3 kgs up in weight from her last race start on the 10.12.09 and after speaking to the vet and the kennel rep, the stewards were happy for the dog to compete. DEL'S DANDY was slow away and was never able to get in to contention from there on in. As the dogs got away from the boxes SINGLE SCULLER ran straight across collided with HOMEBUSH WARRIOR who was unbalanced for a couple of strides As the field raced in to the first turn MAN OH MAN came out of the rail as LOST FRIENDS came in and SINGLE SCULLER was concertinered between these two dogs and lost ground ,but recovered well to finish in 4th placing at the line On the point of the top bend SODA CYRUS checked back off the heels of MARCO's MATE and had to change ground quickly ,losing ground
Race 3	Manawatu Security Fencing Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375	ASTRO BLUES from the outside box came hard across the face of the field looking for the lure and caused severe checks to TINY TITCH, JAMIE PHOENIX, POWER OF ZEN, WAITOTARA RED ,TYPHONE PETE and WHO NOSE FITZ who all were subject to jostling ect Some of these dogs had thier chances severly affected in this incident JANIE PHOENIX was able to get clear of trouble racing in to the first turn and led from there on in for a good win
Race 4	Wenham Grain & Seed Maiden Middle Distance - C0 - 457	BOSTON JAZZ was slow away and then ran out wide and cost itself any chance from there on , in covering a lot of extra ground. As the field started on the first turn KARAWE came out and collided with COUGH IT UP who was pushed out on to WAHINE KURE and these three dogs lost ground and at that point that they could not make up there after. ALL ABOUT LOUD was awkwardly away from the boxes ,but recovered to finish in 4th placing at the line This race was put back two minutes at the request of raceday control
Race 5	Delta Drainage & Water Services Sprint - C1 - 375	THRILLING NICK was best away and led ,then ran wide as they raced across the top and was clearly headed for some distance in the straight ,but ran on strongly late for a tidy win Soon after leaving the boxes THRILLING FELIX came across and collided with DAPTO TOKEN who went back to the rear at that point and was not able to get back in to contention from there on in
Race 6	Radio Trackside 828AM Manawatu Six-Pack Sprint - C2 - 375	As the field left the boxes STAR TO EXCEL came across on to NEW MONIA ,PENIE' FROM , then raced across the face of DRIVING FORWARD, and on to ROYAL MINTY with RUMOUR TISM being squeezed back to the rear at that point As the field raced in to the first turn NEW MONIA came across on to PENIE,S FROM and RUMOUR TISM (fav) was once more hampered and had to check off the heels of NEW MONIA causing DRIVING FORWARD to check outwards and take STAR TO EXCEL out wide at that point ,these dogs had thier chanced extinguished in this incident. When RUMOUR TISM got clear ground she ran on late for 3rd placing at the line ,and she seemed to be unlucky not to have finished closer
Race 7	Grant Irvine Pharmacy Sprint - C1 - 375	From the jump BIGTIME LAKISHA came across on to MARCO'S PAL, JAYDEN'S COURAGE and THRILLING COLA causing these dogs to lose ground at that point. As the field raced in to the first turn FIVE KAY KAT came across on to MARCO'S PAL, JAYDEN'S COURAGE and THRILLING KOLA ,resulting in these dogs being tightened and they more ground . MARCO'S PAL was able to make up ground late and finished in 4th placing at the line
Race 8	Freedom Print & Design House Sprint - C1 - 375	MISS TORI was slow away at the start but ran on late for 4th placing at the line. Soon after the start THRILLING SHADZ came out as HOMEBUSH JAZZ came in and SUCH HOPE was squeezed back to the rear at that point. racing in to the first turn HOMEBUSH BREE was in front and OUR NIKKI GALLOP tried to go around towards the rail when HOMEBUSH JAZZ clipped the heels of HOMEBUSH BREE and he lost his balance and ran out on to OUR NIKKI GALLOP pushing her wide as they raced in to the top bend and went back through the field and finished a distant last at the line. HOMEBUSH BREE was sent for a vet examination and was found to have suffered a injury requiring a 10 day stand down
Race 9	Outback Trading Company Ltd Middle Distance - C1 - 457	All clear
Race 10	Marton Cup At Awapuni On Saturday MIddle Distance - C1 - 457	As they left the boxes BIGTIME ALL STAR jumped across on to SMART JOESPHINE and caused her to lose her footing for a couple of strides. COMET PRINCESS wanted to race wide througout covering a lot of extra ground and ran on gamely late for 3rd placing at the line.
