Track: Good The track was firmer than usual after recent warm and windy weather but the Club have confirmed that harrowing will be carried out prior to the meeting on 20.01.10.

Race 1	Quality Presentations Ltd Maiden Scurry - C0 - 375	The eventual winner TODD ran in from the start and caused checks to HOMEBUSH WARRIOR, BLACK SAVOY and SCAMPER and they all lost ground. HOMEBUSH WARRIOR and SCAMPER recovered to finish in 3rd and 4th places but BLACK SAVOY who was the favourite, stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 2	Company Branding Shop, Levin Sprint - C1 - 375	CRAZY BABY ran in from the start and caused checks to HOMEBUSH JOY, THRILLING WEB and STUMPY RELTUB with HOMEBUSH JOY with THRILLING WEB being the most affected and they settled at the rear. CRAZY BABY galloped on the heels of LOOKS DECIEVING on the bend and they both lost ground.
Race 3	W&E Cavanagh Sprint - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH JUST ran in racing to the first corner and caused tightening and checks to BIGTIME LAKISHA and ERIC PHOENIX who had drawn boxes one and two and they lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. TRIPLE POUNDA was handy in 3rd place on the bend but ran very wide into the straight and faded to finish in 7th place.
Race 4	Manawatu Sound Service Middle Distance - C1 - 457	TAILS OFF ran in soon after the start and checked THRILLING GRIZZ and UPAHUT CITY who settled towards the rear. PURE FURY and COMET PRINCESS ran very wide over extra ground on the bend and they finished in the rear group.
Race 5	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz Sprint - C3 - 375	BIGTIME BOMBER began awkwardly and moved in and bumped NATASHA'S DUFFER onto ROBUST BOY and these two dogs settled well back and stayed back to the finish. BIGTIME BOMBER settled towards the rear as well but made up some ground for 4th place.
Race 6	Cookes Ropes Sprint - C4 - 375	This race was delayed by 3 minutes when the box lids trip failed to activate and the field was unloaded and reloaded and the start was made manually. The minor problem with the trip was quickly rectified following the race. LOONEY LEE was slow to begin and settled at the rear. GOSS SAGE was checked on the bend and dropped back onto LOONEY LEE and both lost ground. GOSS SAGE made up some ground for 5th place but LOONEY LEE stayed back and finished in last place.
Race 7	Bill Boyd & Associates Middle Distance Final - C2f - 457	COVELLE and THRILLING HUGO were both slow to begin and COVELLE then recovered to run on well for 3rd while THRILLING HUGO stayed back and finished in last place. BIGTIME RELOADER was checked and lost ground on the bend but made up ground for 4th place.
Race 8	Thrilling Kennels Open Middle Distance - C5 - 457	CAPTAIN HASTINGS moved out in the back straight and checked WINSOME CRUISER who went back to last. KNOW SPIRIT moved out slightly on the first corner and GONE ZILLA received a slight check. He was then galloped on from behind by SWIP TASTIC and he went back to the rear and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 9	Radio Trackside 828AM Manawatu Six-Pack Sprint - C5 - 375	ADDIS JAY and KYLE IZMIR were the two slowest to begin and they stayed at the rear throughout and finished in the last two places.
Race 10	Outback Trading Company Ltd Middle Distance - C3/4 - 457	This race was started 2 minutes late at the request of the T.A.B. THRILLING ALERT ran in from the start and checked NELLY JEAN, KID DELANEY, BLACK TREND, FLASHFIRE COAL and BILLY MA'S TIP. THRILLING ALERT and BILL MA'S TIP collided on the first corner and THRILLING ALERT was pushed wide over extra ground on the bend and finished in 2nd last place.
