| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C1 - 305 | ZETA JONES was handy to the first corner but was galloped on from behind by HOMEBUSH CINDY and they both lost several lengths. PEACE ICON and ASH VEGAS who were following were also affected in the incident and they stayed back to finish in the last four places. STUMPY RELTUB ran wide on the bend and into the straight forcing RUN OFF ME very wide on the track and this possibly cost him a closer placing than 4th. STUMPY RELTUB recovered to finish in 2nd place. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1 - 520 | THRILLING TIFF was tightened between runners on the first corner and was checked and fell. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 3 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C1 - 305 | CARIBBEAN EBONY moved in on the first corner and caused a slight check to JACK JELLYBEANS who then ran wide into the bend covering extra ground and he finished in 6th place. |
| Race 4 | Advance Pet Nutrition - C2 - 305 | TRICKY PAULA moved in racing to the first corner and jostled SHARIMORE who was then checked and dropped back onto HUTT PARK LASS and DEL TONES and all three lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the last three places. The 2nd placed runner PENIE'S FROM moved in slightly near the finish line and PHANTOM FOG clipped her heels and both lost some momentum and this possibly cost PENIE'S FROM a win as she lost by a head. |
| Race 5 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - INVf - 305 | The favourite ANOTHER NICK and CRYSTAL VIRUS were up handy on the bend but they collided losing several lengths and they never recovered and finished in the last two places |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C2/3 - 520 | BIGTIME RELOADER began awkwardly and settled at the rear with KIWISAVER who was also slow to begin. Racing into the final bend, HOMEBUSH NICK galloped on the back of BACK DRAUGHT and they went back quickly and KIWISAVER collided with them. All three dogs lost several lengths in the incident and they finished in the last three places. The 2nd placed dog SEPTEMBER BLUE moved in slightly in the final few strides and made contact with RUMOUR TISM and this possibly affected SEPTEMBER BLUES chance of winning as she was only beaten by a head. |
| Race 7 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C3 - 305 | One of the favourites HOMEBUSH PERCY was the slowest to begin and was then bumped by NATASHA'S DUFFER on the first corner and made firm contact with the rail. He never recovered the lost ground and finished in 6th place and was examined by the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury. ROBUST BOY moved out on the first corner to avoid the heels of FAST STASS and in doing so forced BOTANY ADAM and WONGAWILLISTEVE wide over extra ground and they finished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Mickeys Super Liquor - C4/5 - 520 | The favourite LITTLE MOTHER was slow to begin losing three lengths but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. BIGTIME GEM ran in sharply from the start and checked PINK RELTUB and GONE ZILLA who both lost a little ground. PINK RELTUB ran wide into the back straight and again on the final bend and she covered extra ground and finished in last place. |
| Race 9 | Broad Roofing Services - C4/5 - 305 | This race was started two minutes late at the request of the T.A.B. WONGAWILLINEV ran in soon after the start and caused checks to SWIFT CONQUEST, ADDIS JAY, HERE IN SPIRIT and SAMUEL BAXTER who all lost varyinng amounts of ground and SWIFT CONQUEST was the only one to recover and he finished a close 4th in a photo. HERE IN SPIRIT had his tail caught between the lure and the rail after the race and as a result of the damage caused, the Vet amputated part of the tail and HERE IN SPIRIT was stood down for 21 days. |
| Race 10 | www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C4/5 - 305 | AWESOME AGENT ran in and CAWBOURNE MADGE ran out from the start and this resulted in HUTT PARK FLYER who was drawn between them being checked back to the rear. UPAHUT ZORRO and AWESOME AGENT came together and jostled for a few strides in the run to the first corner. SET IN STONE moved out in the back straight and GUNNADOO KNIGHT was checked and went back to near the rear. |
