Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: An inquiry was opened and adjourned in to the circumstances of an altercation between two licenced persons prior to race one.
Trainer Mr G M Hunt admitted a charge under Rule 64.5 of scratching BIGTIME LUCKY from race six without a valid reason after the dog being 2nd reserve had gained a start in the race
BIGTIME LUCKY was stood down for 28 days and the trainer was fined $100.00
The track was firmer today than is recommended and the club will address this before the next meeting
HAWTHORNE HAWKE (L McCook) completed a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1

Race 1	New Zealand Racing Series Graduation Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 1	PRETTY SECRET (fav) and THRILLING JOSH were tightned soon after the start and were never able to get back in to contention from there on in
Race 2	New Zealand Racing Series Graduation Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 2	THRILLING LILLI was slow away and lost at least 5 lengths and her chance from there on in Soon after the start BOTANY HORNET came across fast towards the rail and caused checks to WINSOME OPAWA and FLOATING AWAY ,these two dogs recovered well and carried on to fill 1st and 3rd placings at the line As they raced down to the first turn BOTANY HORNET came out off the inside and came together with WHAT SHIRAZ for a few strides FLOATING AWAY raced wide across the top bend and in to the home straight which caused him to cover extra ground b,ut he still ran on for 3rd at the line
Race 3	New Zealand Racing Series Graduation Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 3	In the race down to the first turn BIGTIME RELOADER came across hard towrds the rail and forced THRILLING ANGEL (fav) on to SABRE DANCE and this caused THRILLING ANGEL to be hampered for some distance and this caused her to not get clear until the greater part of the race had been run , she ran on late for 2nd placing at the line OKAY'S RHETT BEE was noticed to be favouring a leg on returning to the birdcage and was sent for a vet check ,after vetting the dog no abnormalities were found
Race 4	New Zealand Racing Series Graduation Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 4	As they got away from the boxes HOMEBUSH JUST came across on to SNOWIE SECRET ,just as WATCH THIS PAGE came over fast on to HOMEBUSH JUST for a couple of strides As the field raced in to the first bend JACK BANNER came out and this caused BENJI LAFOURCHE and POTAMA RAMA to come together ,however BENJI LAFOURCHE recovered well to run on for a gutsy win
Race 5	New Zealand Racing Series Graduation Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 5	GEOFF PHOENIX was slowest away and had to check back off heels when trying to improve across the top bend and ran on well for 4th placing at the line DEMOGRAPHIC was away awkwardly away from the boxes and as they raced down to the first turn HOMEBUSH NICK came across on to BRUNO who was forced over on to DEMOGRAPHIC who was severly hampered at that point ,but was able to muscle his way out of trouble and run on to win well. DEMOGRAPHIC was examined by the vet and was found to have suffered a pectoral muscle injury with a 10 days stand down imposed. JOE BANNER was a late scratching at kenneling on vets advice due to a quadriceps muscle injury on left hind
Race 6	New Zealand Racing Series Graduation Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 6	BIGTIME LUCKY was 2nd reserve in this race and did gain a start ,the trainer did not present the dog as it was left behind at the home kennels,and it has been stood down for 28 days race was all clear
Race 7	New Zealand Racing Series Graduation Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 7	FLOYDY BOY and HAILEY'S AGENT were awkwardly away from the boxes . TONY CAN'T GO came over fast from the jump towards the rail and tightened AMELIA ELECTRA,HAILEY'S AGENT and FLOYDY BOY for several strides
Race 8	Bob Francis Sprint Stakes - C5 - 375	ANOTHER NICK was very awkwardly away from the start and lost 5 lengths and finished in 3rd to last placing at the line, this run would be best forgotten. IN COMMAND was handy in the running until the top bend where he was noticed to go off stride and run a bit wide and went back through the field and finished in last position at the line, he was examined by the vet and a 28 days stand diwn was imposed due to him having suffered a gracilis muscle tear. The payout authorisation for this race was held up for approx 10 minutes as the stewards checked the replay of the race as the lure seemed to be further in front from the jump as is normal , also it appeared that possiably the boxes may have been slow to open , however this was not the case and the all clear to pay was given
Race 9	Ewen Glass Sprint - C4 - 375	In the run down to the first turn HEALING CRYSTAL came across hard towards the rail and severly tightened BILLY WHIZ ,JUST LIKE BEE and HELD FOR RANSOM. HELD FOR RANSOM was able to recover and finished in 3rd placing at the line, HEALING CRYSTAL and JUST LIKE BEE had their chances extingushed in this incident. As the field raced in to the first turn THRILLING ALI came across on to SUPERFINE who was checked back at that point and lost a couple of lengths ,but recovered well to finish in 4th position at the line
Race 10	Kiripuni Sports Bar & Tavern Sprint - C3 - 375	A couple of strides away from the boxes THRILLING GIRL came across on to NATASHA'S DUFFER and MISS AGENT causing them to be tightened and NATASHA'S DUFFER went back to the rear and could'nt get back in ro contention from there on in. BIGTIME SLAMMER and BIGTIME SURVIVOR came together for a couple of strides soon after jumping away. ELLABELLE ANGEL was tender on walking back to the hose bay area and was examined by the vet and a 10 days stand down was imposed due to lacerations on both hind pads
