| Race 1 | Quality Presentations Ltd Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375 | KARAKA ROYALE was checked on the first corner and went back causing checks to DUBLIN BAY and HOMEBUSH KARLY who both lost ground. VONRYANS XPRESS and DUBLIN BAY colided on the home turn when racing back in the field and they collided again past the winning post and DUBLIN BAY fell. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | Porter Hire, Palmerston North Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375 | THRILLING PEACH went up in the air as the lids opened and settled at the rear but then made up ground well for 4th place. POLKA DOT moved out on the first corner and forced LIVELY SPIRIT wide into the bend. EVE HILL led from the start but then dropped back approaching the home turn and collided with HOMEBUSH ACE in the home straight and they finished in the rear group. |
| Race 3 | Bill Boyd & Associates Sprint - C1 - 375 | SHOWTIME ADDIS was handy in the early and middle stages but ran very wide over extra ground in the approach to the straight entrance and faded to 6th place a the finish. |
| Race 4 | Delta Drainage & Water Services Sprint - C1 - 375 | The eventual winner BARRY'S INTENT ran in from the start and caused checks to JACK JELLYBEANS, CAWBOURNE WAYNE, HOMEBUSH JAZZ, BIGTIME ALEX, SHEZA RATBAG and CRAZY BABY who all lost varying amounts of ground. BACK AT YA was the only runner not affected in the incident and she finished in 2nd place. SHEZA RATBAG suffered a webbing injury which required a 21 day stand down. |
| Race 5 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy Sprint - C1 - 375 | KNOW FRIENDS was handy in 2nd place on the first corner but was severely checked and dropped back causing checks to BIGTIME PAL and RUN BROADY RUN and they finished in the last three places. KNOW FRIENDS was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days. |
| Race 6 | Radio Trackside 828AM Manawatu Six Pack Sprint - C1 - 375 | DEMOGRAPHIC moved out on the first corner and severely checked LOOKS DECIEVING who went back to last and stayed there to the finish. THRILLING JOSH and THRILLING IRIS were also checked in the incident losing ground and they finished well back as well. |
| Race 7 | Wenham Grain & Seed Sprint - C1 - 375 | CAWBOURNE POINTA was last away and tailed the field throughout to finish at the rear. CAWBOURNE POINTA was sore after the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with quadricep and gracilus muscle injuries. |
| Race 8 | Outback Trading Company Ltd Middle Distance - C1 - 457 | The favourite WATCH THIS PAGE proved very difficult to load into the boxes and held up the start momentarily. The dog had never performed in this manner in the past and a close watch will be kept on him in the future. WATCH THIS PAGE jumped in at the start and checked THRILLING FELIX who settled at the rear. WATCH THIS PAGE then moved in on the first corner and caused checks to himself and to MANLY MAGIC, CRYSTAL BANNER and DADDY and they never recovered and finished in the last four places. |
| Race 9 | Manawatu Sound Service Middle Distance - C1 - 457 | Last start winner SECRET TRACEY was the slowest to begin and then raced very wide throughout over extra ground and finished in last place. |
| Race 10 | Manawatu Cup At Awapuni On Saturday Sprint - C2 - 375 | CAP FANTASTIC was checked in the run to he first corner and was then checked twice going into the bend when colliding with SCOTCH AND DRY and then MACAU and he lost several lengths and finished in last place. CAP FANTASTIC was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a quadricep injury. |
