Race 1 Quality Presentations Ltd Maiden Sprint - C0 - 375 THRILLING PEACH was slow to begin and then ran wide on the bend into the straight but made up ground to finish in 5th place.
Race 2 www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz Middle Distance - C0 - 457 All clear.
Race 3 Doggies WAFL Three-peat Champions Middle Distance - C1 - 457 GEOFF PHOENIX and THRILLING BESSIE were both slow to begin and lost ground. THRILLING BESSIE suffered injuries to both fascia lata muscles and was stood down for 10 days.
Race 4 Manawatu Security Fencing Sprint - C2 - 375 THRILLING BECKY was slow to begin losing three lengths and she stayed well back to finish in the rear group. CAWBOURNE RYE and BIGTIME SCAR were checked on the bend and they lost ground and finished well back.
Race 5 Thrilling Kennels Sprint Final - C2f - 375 BLACK TREND ran in from the start and caused crowding and checks to RUSTY ENFORCER, DEL TONES, THRILLING GIRL and LAW'S HILL. BLACK TREND was checked on the bend , went back to last and stayed there to the finish.
Race 6 WAFL Champions Eastern Suburbs Bulldogs Sprint - C2/3 - 375 CAPTAIN CARLOS ran in from the start and checked CHILD'S PLAY, LEATHER JACKET, BOTANY ADAM and BILLY WHIZ who all lost ground. SMART SHARMILA was checked on the first corner and went quickly back causing checks to BOTANY ADAM and CHILD'S PLAY and they all lost several lengths and finished in the last three places.
Race 7 Peter Sinclair Photos MIddle Distance - C2/3 - 457 BILLY MA'S TIP moved out on the first corner and bumped HOMEBUSH NICK and they lost ground and stayed back to finish at the rear. MR CLONTARF was away well and handy on the first corner but was tightened between THRILLING DARLS and CAWBOURNE OPAL and lost several lengths but did make up ground in the straight to finish in 5th place.
Race 8 Outback Trading Company Ltd Middle Distance - C4/5 - 457 SHIFTY DOONS and NELLY JEAN collided on the first corner and NELLY JEAN lost ground. FIND PEDRO moved out on the bend and bumped SHIFTY DOONS who was pushed wide and checked back to last and he stayed there to the finish.
Race 9 Radio Trackside 828AM Manawatu Six Pack Sprint - C4/5 - 375 DARK SAGE was checked on the first corner and moved out forcing CAPTAIN HASTINGS and HUTT PARK FLYER to race wide over extra ground. CAWBOURNE BESS raced at the rear throughout and finished in last place and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a flexor tendon injury.
Race 10 The Simply Grey Exhibition Palmerston North Sprint - C4 - 375 CAWBOURNE GREG was slow to begin and settled at the rear. He then raced into the back of JUST LIKE BEE and SUPER SAGE on the first corner and all three dogs lost ground and they finished in the last three places.
