Judicial report: BENGINEER successfully completed a Satisfactory Trial under Rule 81.

Trainer LP Joyce admitted a breach of Rule 64.2 in relation to the non appearance of BORN ENTERTAINER at the Auckland GRC meeting of 27 December 2009. The adjudicating Steward took into account that there was a death in the family of Mr Joyce and he was responsible for funeral arrangements and other matters. In this case due to those compassionate grounds no penalty was imposed on Mr Joyce.

Race 1	0880 4Down Cow Stakes - C1 - 457	LADY MARIANNE was a shade slow to jump but recovered quickly. Soon after the jump INDIA BLUE and HOT FONZ came together for a stride. COOL ANNA checked off the back of FANCY KATE when handy just prior to the bend while soon after HIDDEN ANGEL and HOT FONZ came together at the rear and lost ground. HIDDEN ANGEL dropped out to run last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 2	Greyhound North Maiden Distance Series Final - C0df - 650	FEVER SHIRAZ and SNOWIE SECRET were both slow to jump with FEVER SHIRAZ making ground well late for third. In to the first bend HOMEBUSH NICK crossed quickly from his outside draw and tightened BIGTIME BALLAD and MIRAGE ROYALE who lost ground.
Race 3	Interislander Stakes - C4 - 457	STARFIRE BOY was last to jump but stuck to the rails throughout and finished powerfully to win. STARFIRE BOY and AWESOME VOYAGE came together for a stride in the back straight. SHARMANS MAGIC checked outwards off LIZZY LEE at the end of the back straight with FANCY GIRL being pushed wider as a result.
Race 4	Hautapu Vets Stakes - C2/3 - 457	This race was delayed by two minutes due to a false start in the previous harness race. CAWBOURNE BELLE received a check into the bend and ran outwards pushing YAMBLA BOB and BORN ENTERTAINER wider with these dogs losing ground.
Race 5	Te Awamutu Self Storage Maiden Series Final - C0f - 457	THRILLING SIREN was last away and never in contention thereafter. HE'S STUNNING received a check for a stride at the end of the back straight while shortly after RUN FOR US checked off the back of BARKHAMSTED and lost ground.
Race 6	Waikato Cup - INV - 457	Permission was granted for WINSOME JAMES to be boxed first. EMBEZZLEMENT was the last to jump.
Race 7	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C5 - 375	All clear.
Race 8	Waikato Classic Final - R/Af - 457	LITTLE MOTHER, MATANUSKA and OLYMPIC ACE were all tightened into the bend and lost ground with TATTY BOGLE being forced wider. On the home bend HARAJUKU BOY was dragged down from behind for a stride losing momentum. He recovered well to finish into third.
Race 9	John Lamont Bobcat Hire Services Sprint - C5 - 375	This race was delayed by two minutes due to a false start in the prior harness race. MAJOR HIT was slow and then held up badly into the bend. He ran on late to be close up. ZAMBORA MAN became caste on the lure at the pull up area with a post race veterinary check revealing superficial grazes with no stand down recommended.
Race 10	Protector Safety Stakes - C4/5 - 457	SHOWTIME LEO and VIVALDI STAR came together in the early stages while SHOWTIME LEO received a check on the bend and dropped to the rear.
