Track: Good The new track surface has been laid by Laing Contractors with Duncan Laing in attendance during the early part of the program. It provided a good surface throughout the night with race times slightly slower than what is normal. The new kennels were used for the first time, with positive comments from trainers.

Race 1	Advance Pet Nutrition Sprint - C5 - 295	OHOKA KERRY, NITRO MOWIE and TICKLE TOE came together into the bend coming back on WATCH THE JET, SUPERFINE and DEAL FOR YOU.
Race 2	Challenge Opawa All Up Stakes - C1 - 520	LUCY BAXTER ran out into the first bend taking OPAWA PADLESS with her, both losing all chance as a result.
Race 3	Laing Contractors Ltd Dash - C2 - 295	Into the bend KARL BAXTER moved off the rail tightening KNOW GO, CAWBOURNE WOODY and SILENT WHISPER. Soon after TUNZA REVS was tightened by CAWBOURNE SCAREY checking out and coming in contact with KNOW TROUBLE who lost momentum for a few strides.
Race 4	www.duvauchellehotelmotel.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	HOMEBUSH OSO was tightened into the first bend coming back and forcing GUNNA SMOKE and UNDER COVER wide.
Race 5	Christchurch Ready Mix Stakes - C2 - 520	MOMENT was slow to jump. Into the first bend DEVOTCHKA was tightened by MIRAGE ROYALE both losing ground.
Race 6	Active Electrical Christchurch Stakes - C4/5 - 520	DELUSIONIST moved off the rail into the first bend as WANDY HAKA ran inwards when about to get outside the leaders resulting in CHARLIE STUBBS and SMASH KINGDOM being tightened and falling with BILLY RUBIN and CRAFTY CLEEVE who were close behind colliding with them and also falling. CRAFTY CLEEVE and SMASH KINGDOM regained their feet to finish the race. BILLY RUBIN jumped to the infield and CHARLIE STUBBS went a short distance before pulling up. All four were the subject of veterinary checks. Both CRAFTY CLEEVE and SMASH KINGDOM were found to be free of injury. BILLY RUBIN was found to have a fractured elbow and CHARLIE STUBBS a right hock sprain.
Race 7	Multisport Surfaces Ltd Sprint - C3 - 295	ROYAL LYCAON was checked when PAUA TO EXCEED crossed to the rail to take the lead. ROYAL LYCAON came back on TALENT CITY, WILLY BOLT, MULBERRY MADAM and KNOW FAITH who lost all chance.
Race 8	Christchurch Security Services Stakes - C2/3 - 520	KNOW BEST jumped awkwardly from the boxes losing all chance. LOU BALE ran wide after coming in contact with OPAWA PATTY into the first bend.
Race 9	Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C4 - 295	BOMBER MAN and CURVE BALL were slow to jump. HISTORICAL and JUST A BOLT came together into the home straight with HISTORICAL drifting out quickly to finish last. A veterinary check revealed a right gracilus tear.
Race 10	Back Here Tuesday Dash - C5 - 295	Both BOX BAXTER and REWIND HISTORY were checked into the bend both losing ground.
