He was checked again on the first corner as ASTRO BLUES moved in and put pressure on LUCY BAXTER who was directly outside him. PING PONG MAGOO finished in 4th place. |
| Race 2 | Grant Irvine Pharmacy Maiden Scurry - C0 - 375 | The favourite CLAN DOUGLAS began awkwardly and settled in last place but recovered to run on well for 2nd place. CLAN DOUGLAS was reported to be sore following the race, was examined by the Vet and was stood down for 10 days with pain in both quadricep muscles. THRILLING NOTE was also a little slow to begin and then ran very wide over extra ground and finished in 2nd last place. |

One of the favourites SECRET TRACEY was awkwardly placed adjacent to the rail in the run to the first corner and drifted back to near last but then ran on at the end to finish in 5th place. |

BIGTIME PAL was midfield on the rail on the first corner but was checked and dropped back onto CATCH THE BREEZE and they both lost ground. BIGTIME PAL recovered to finish in 4th place but CATCH THE BREEZE stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |
