Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: The inquiry into the late scratching of THRILLING TASHA at Cambridge on Thursday was concluded. It was established that the connections made several attempts to contact the Club before scratching time but due to communication difficulties were unsuccessful. Stewards were able to verify that these genuine attempts were made and accordingly no further action was required.

Handler DJ Laagland was fined $35.00 after admitting a breach of Rule 71.4 in that he falied to catch MADDER THAN in Race 3 as arranged.

Race 1	The Brownzy Sports Bar Series Final - C0f - 318	THRILLING MISS was last to jump running on well for fourth. BLUE BULLET and ALL ABOUT LOUD collided soon after the jump while into the bend FLYING WHALE ran inwards on to WHAT'S SHE PAYNE and lost ground. Soon after FLYING WHALE was dragged down by BLUE BULLET with both dogs losing ground. A post race veterinary check of FLYING WHALE revealed no injury.
Race 2	ownagreyhound.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 318	In a straggly start MISS VIP, WINSOME KELLY and DYNAMIC DIXIE were all slow to jump. Stewards confirmed that all boxes had opened correctly before payout was confirmed. Into the bend SNO ZONE came together with OUR MAC and lost ground.
Race 3	Carol's TABs Stakes - C1 - 527	CARMIA MATANNA was slightly tightened soon after the jump but recovered quickly.
Race 4	Plumbing World Sprint Series Final - C1f - 318	LEFT CAMBER came together with PSYCHOTIC soon after the jump and soon after was checked as TIPSY MAGOO was pushed out by JELLYSTONE PARK. LEFT CAMBER lost ground and dropped to the rear. On the bend I'M A FOOL appeared to clip the heels of REVELRY when handy and took a spectacular fall. I'M A FOOL regained her feet and completed the race with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 5	Trophies Plus Stakes - C1 - 527	TOTAL INFERNO weighed in some 3kg above its last race weight with Trainer GM Hunt advising that this weight was put on the dog on purpose. TOTAL INFERNO was handy until the first bend but dropped out to finish nearly 30 lengths from the winner. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn gracilis with a sixty day stand down recommended.
Race 6	$30,000 Pick6 Sprint - C4 - 318	DREAM A WIN crossed quickly from his outside draw tightening MISS AMY DRY and BOKARM ELLIE with BEACH STREET receiving some backwash in behind. SCOTT NO WIVES was slow to jump and then dragged down for a stride by MISS AMY DRY in the home straight. JAZZY TOKAAM was handy into the bend but ran wide and lost some ground.
Race 7	Nigel Clark Memorial Stakes - C2 - 527	TEE KAY GIRL ran inwards soon after the jump taking the line of CHIVAS REGAL and THRILLING CATCH. On the first bend THRILLING FLEUR was tightened along the inside and possibly hit the rail. She then checked outwards sharply with CATCHING ON and THRILLING CATCH losing a lot of ground as a result. THRILLING FLEUR tailed off after this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 8	Protector Safety Sprint - C2 - 318	NATURAL JOURNEY was a shade slow but rocketed through a gap on the inside caused when BOTANY SHELLEY ran outwards and won easily. As NATURAL JOURNEY was taking the gap he tightened THRILLING VIRUS and FORGET NOT who hit the rail and dropped out with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. SYDENHAM PRETTY was tightened into the bend and lost ground while on the home turn BOTANY SHELLEY checked outwards off the heels of BARALLEN losing her chance.
Race 9	Greyhounds North Maiden Distance Series - C0d - 603	On the bend out of the home straight CAWBOURNE BOTROS and THRILLING FEVER came together losing ground while soon after BIGTIME BALLAD checked off the back of MOONSHINE LASS and lost ground. Of these runners THRILLING FEVER made ground late for a close fourth.
Race 10	Rodewald Hart Brown Sprint - C5 - 318	Favourite TESS TOKAAM was tightened into the bend and dropped to the rear along with PRIVATE PEDRO.
Race 11	The Alamo Bar & TAB Sprint - C1 - 318	WINSOME SKY was very slow but made some ground for fifth. BOTANY ADAM was tightened into the bend with RAT INDEED being checked in behind him and dropping to the rear. ONLY WAY OUT was 1.7kgs under her last race weight with Trainer MP Mann advising that this was a planned reduction.
