PURE DESIRE and TINY TICH collided soon after entering the home straight and both lost ground and they finished in 5th and 6th places. ASTRO BLUES was checked and made contact with the rail on the first corner and finished in 2nd last place. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C1q - 520 Heat 1 | CHILLI NICK and TRICKY LES were slow to begin and settled at the rear. TRICKY LES could not keep up with the pace and drifted out to finish several lengths last and as its galloping action appeared to be awkward, he was examined by the Vet and was cleared of injury. |

JO BAXTER, WHAT'S SHE PAYNE and TYPHOON PETE were all checked on the first corner losing ground and they stayed well back to finish in the rear group. |

THRILLING GABBY and HOMEBUSH BEX collided on the first corner and HAGLER and BIGTIME ACTION also suffered from interferance in the incident and they all lost ground and finished in the last four places. |

| Race 7 | Broad Roofing Services - C1 - 305 | This race was started two minutes late at the request of Raceday Control. IRISH ENFORCER was slow to begin losing three lengths. CRYSTAL KATIE moved in racing to the first corner and forced BRUTUS FINALE in onto JASON BOURNE who was checked and lost ground. BRUTUS FINALE and IRISH ENFORCER then collided when racing into the bend and they lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1q - 520 Heat 2 | The start was delayed by two minutes while the Vet examined THRILLING PETRA and the dog was cleared fit to run. OKAY'S VERA DEE ran in from the start and checked PURE FURY and MYSTERY MILLIE who settled back in the field. BENGINEER began very well to lead to the first turn but then ran wide over extra ground and he continued to race a little wide until the home straight but fought on well for 4th place. THRILLING PETRA was checked entering the back straight and went back and out causing checks to PURE FURY and THRILLING ASH and they never recovered and finished in the last three places. |
| Race 9 | Gary Ross Decorator, Wanganui - C1 - 305 | RUSTY ENFORCER ran out in the back straight and caused bumping to STAR SEEKER, ANOTHER SAGE and THRILLING COLT who all lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the last three places. THRILLING COLT galloped on the heels of HOMEBUSH ASTRID on the home turn and both lost momentum in the incident. |
