Race 1	Welcome To Shield Country - C0 - 390	TRIPLEM HAND was slow to jump. LUCY BAXTER ran outwards into the bend checking BLUE RAGE, TRIPLEM HAND, ROBIN US BLIND and PEG'S ANGEL who all lost ground.
Race 2	Stamina Plus Powder - C1 - 457	SHAZZ'S BABE struck the heels of FROSTY EQUATOR around the bend losing ground.
Race 3	Bounce B Powder - C0 - 457	BOMBAY TRAM was very slow to jump. JAZZY SHIRAZ drifted to last after the jump. Into the bend HAMISH BAXTER and an improving BOMBAY TRAM came together with HAMISH BAXTER drifting out to finish at the rear. Soon after THAT'S SARAH was tightened by HOTWAX. In the home straight WARRIOR WIKI was tightened coming back on BOMBAY TRAM.
Race 4	Ascot Park Hotel Maiden Final - C0f - 390	NORWOOD JEWEL drifted to last in the run to the bend. Into the bend THAT'S BIZAAR ran in sharply colliding with TUKURUA ZAC who was badly checked. Soon after THAT'S BIZAAR moved outwards resulting in VAMPIRES SHADOW checking out off THAT'S BIZAAR colliding with the favourite CROSSFIRE MAX who was badly checked.
Race 5	Southland's Ranfurly Shield - C1 - 390	Both HOMEBUSH BONITA and WICHITA LINEMAN were slow to jump. Into the bend LESTER checked inwards off the heels of CAWBOURNE JODIE. Into the home straight WICHITA LINEMAN climbed on the heels of LESTER losing ground.
Race 6	Brendon Burke @ Southen Wide - C1 - 457	BILLBOB RAY was tightened by BROTHERLY TIES into the bend losing ground. Soon after an improving ISRAELI faultered drifting out quickly and puling up. A veterinary check revealed a fractured left hind calcaneus with a 90 day stand down recommended.
Race 7	$25 Yard Muzzles - C1 - 390	DARK ICE was tightened by COOL'S THE TUNE into the bend.
Race 8	S.R. Double D Syndicate Final - C1f - 390	Into the bend ICE BALL checked out off TRICKY DAISY colliding with MEANDER with checks to BOTANY STORY, ZENA'S LADY and HOMEBUSH SHEDAN. Short of the winning post BOTANY KELLY finished along the rail, forcing TUNZA REVS to check out off the heels of the eventual winner TRICKY DAISY.
Race 9	Added Energy - C1 - 457	Both BEEJAY'S MATE and SILAS MARNER were slow to jump.
Race 10	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C4 - 390	LE FLAMBEUR was very slow to jump. Into the bend LAGER IN PARIS, ALBIE'S STAR and HISTORICAL were tightened losing ground. Down the home straight FLYING ASPEN hit the rail when in the lead bouncing out and colliding with WATUSI ASSASSIN both coming back on LE FLAMBEUR. FLYING ASPEN was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury.
