| Race 1 | Mediaworks Wanganui - C2 - 305 | SILENT STRYKER was checked and made contact with the rail in the run to the first corner and she lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. SILENT STRYKER was examined by the Vet as a precaution and was found to have a spike wound but no stand down was required. BIGTIME BAND was handy on the first corner but was checked and went back onto BOMBER MAN with both dogs losing ground and all chance of a placing and they finished in 5th and 6th places. |
| Race 2 | Infusion Catering, Wanganui - C1 - 520 | BOTANY JIM was handy racing to the first corner but was tightly placed between runners and went back to last. He was checked again on the first bend and trailed the field from there and finished several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. The well supported BILLYBOB RAY made the first turn awkwardly and moved out and lost ground and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |
| Race 3 | Advance Pet Nutrition - C2 - 305 | CALL ME was slow to begin losing three lengths but made up ground to finish in 4th place. CAWBOURNE SHOT was awkwardly placed on the first corner and dropped back to near last and he stayed back to finish in 3rd last place. |
| Race 4 | Ricoh NZ - C2 - 520 | BIGTIME RELOADER checked over the heels of ASK THE BANDIT approaching the back straight and she made firm contact with SMART JOSEPHINE and they both lost several lengths and stayed back to finish in 6th and 7th places. |
| Race 5 | MTA Gift Vouchers - C3 - 305 | SUPERIOR BLACK ran out from the start and ROBOTUSSEN ran in and this resulted in checks to PENIE'S FROM, LADY PEDRO and ALECIA RELTUB and those three runners jostled together for several strides. SUPERIOR BLACK and CAFE CAPRI led into the bend but collided and lost ground with SUPERIOR BLACK being the most affected and she went back and was galloped on by LADY PEDRO. They never recovered and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 6 | N Z Pure, 6 Pack - C2/3 - 520 | POUTAMA RAMA moved in on the first corner and caused checks to SMART SHARMILA, LITTLE MOTHER, and STARFIRE BOY who all lost ground. MIRAGE ROYALE and THRILLING HUGO who were following were pushed wide into the first bend. LITTLE MOTHER and STARFIRE BOY recovered well to finish in 1st and 2nd places. |
| Race 7 | Mickeys Super Liquor - C3/4 - 305 | HAILSTONE HERB moved out from the rail on the first corner and this resulted in checks to MISS BRUGGE and CHINESE GIRL. MISS BRUGGE recovered to finish in 2nd place but CHINESE GIRL dropped out to finish last. CLASSIC BEN moved out to avoid the incident and forced JAMES BEE and ANOTHER MANGLES to race wide into the bend over extra ground. BLAST FURNACE suffered a split webbing, possibly after being checked after the finish and was stood down for 21 days. |
| Race 8 | Mars Petcare NZ - C4/5 - 520 | KID DELANEY, SHIFTY DOONS and BROCKMAN LAD came together and jostled for several strides soon after the start and they settled in the rear group. SERIOUS CHARGE was checked starting on the final bend and lost several lengths and he finished in last place. |
| Race 9 | MTA Gift Vouchers - C3/4 - 305 | CAWBOURNE CLICK, FAST STASS and GOOGLE MAGOO were all checked on the bend losing several lengths and they finished in the rear group. |
| Race 10 | Interislander Sprint - C5 - 305 | ALLEGRO VISION moved in from the start and dictated the line of STAR CONQUEST which resulted in HIFI ALLEGRO and POLSKA being tightened on the inside and they lost three lengths. HIFI ALLEGRO recovered to deadheat for 3rd but POLSKA stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |
