Track: Heavy The track was very wet and slushy but times posted were very good under the conditions with rain falling throughout the meeting.

Judicial report: The inquiry into alleged abusive language which was opened and adjourned on Wednesday 7th October was concluded and a report will be forwarded to the Racing Control Manager at N.Z.G.R.A.

Race 1	Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C2 - 305	The favourite ROBOTUSSEN was very slow to begin losing several lengths but she did make up ground to finish in 5th place. CAWBOURNE SIENNA checked of the heels of CAWBOURNE SPEED on the first corner and lost ground and she never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 2	Bilderbeck Construction Ltd - C2 - 520	BIGTIME RELOADER jumped in from the start and checked HOMEBUSH NICK and WHAT A MATE and all three dogs lost ground and settled at the rear. ASK THE BANDIT and GONE ZILLA jostled together for several strides racing into the first bend and they both lost ground. GONE ZILLA recovered to finish in 3rd place but ASK THE BANDIT, who was having his first start on the track, stayed back to finish in 6th place.
Race 3	Broad Roofing Services - C2f - 305	UPAHUT ZORRO and WHATS UP ADDIS were slow to begin but they both made up ground to finish 4th and 5th. SIX PLEASE ran in on the first corner and collided with WONGAWILLISTEVE and lost several lengths and she finished in last place. As SIX PLEASE dropped back, WHATS UP ADDIS and ROTOVEGAS GIRL had to move out and they collided and lost a little ground with ROTOVEGAS GIRL being the most affected and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 4	Wanganui Security Services - C2/3 - 305	PENIE'S FROM ran in from the start and checked PURA LADY and RED TERROR and they settled at the rear. PURA LADY was on a forward move on the bend but had to check off the heels of CRYSTAL SAL and she lost ground and stayed back to finish in 7th place.
Race 5	Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C4 - 305	WONGAWILLINEV, CAWBOURNE DORE and BLAST FURNACE were all slow to begin and setttled at the rear. BLAST FURNACE and WONGAWILLINEV recovered to finish in 3rd and 4th places with CAWBOURNE DORE not far behind in 6th place. GOOGLE MAGOO was pushed under the rail at the pull up area and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury apart from some minor grazing.
Race 6	Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C3 - 520	The favourite LITTLE MOTHER was very slow to begin losing several lengths but she made up ground well to finish in 2nd place without getting near to the winner WANDY HAKA. STARFIRE BOY was handy enough on the first bend but was checked entering the back straight and dropped back to finish in 3rd last place. VIVALDI ROAD finished in last place and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 3 days after suffering from cramp in the hind quarters.
Race 7	Mickey's Super Liquor - C4 - 305	The favourite CAPTAIN BOYCOTT was one of the slowest away and after starting from box 8, he was forced to race wide on the track over extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 8	Harrison's Hiremaster - C4/5 - 520	SHIFTY DOONS, MAJOR HIT and KID DELANEY jostled together on the first corner with KID DELANEY being most affected and he lost a couple of lengths but recovered to win the race. SALLY BAXTER and RAPPER NEWY were also affected in the incident and were pushed a little wide on the bend over extra ground. LAGOON GROVE could not keep up with the early pace and raced several lengths behind the field but made ground well to be close up in 5th place at the finish.
Race 9	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd - C5 - 305	SCISSOR SISTERS, PIZZA GIRL, CIRALDO and WHATA BOWLA were all checked on the first corner and WHATA BOWLA recovered to finish 3rd but the other three stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 10	Media Works - C2/3 - 305	SUPERIOR BLACK, JUST LIKE BEE, ROTKARA LUCY and CAWBOURNE WILKO were all checked on the first corner losing several lengths and they never recovered and finished in the last four places.
