Judicial report: Handler MG ROBERTS was fined $35.00 for a breach of Rule 71.4 in failing to ensure a catcher was present at the conclusion of Race 9.
An inquiry was opened adjourned in respect to an alleged breach of Rule 71.4 in respect of SENSATIVE HARRY, a starter in Race 11.
Handler SG KERR was warned for a breach of Rule 88.1.q as a result of entering agreements to catch two dogs at the conclusion of Race 14. In explanation he said he realised his error when taking BOTANY HORNET from the lure after he had earlier arranged to catch MOMENT as well.

Race 2 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP DASH - C0 - 295 | WICHITA LINEMAN moved out after the jump tightening TOMMY TEALEAF. Into the bend STICK'S TOO and WICHITA LINEMAN came together losing ground. Soon after COOL TART checked out off the heels of the leader SURFIN' BIZAAR running into the line of TRIPLEM HAND and ASH VEGAS who were both checked. |
Race 3 | ROBBIE'S BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C1 - 295 | APACHE MACK, MAX FORCE and COT CASE CUTIE were tightened by POCKETS FULL on their outer into the bend. Soon after APACHE MACK ran out forcing POCKETS FULL wide on the track. |
Race 4 | www.duvauchellehotelmotel.co.nz STAKES - C0 - 520 | SENORITA SISSY and JAZZY SHIRAZ were slow to jump. Into the run to the first bend MOST HAUNTED and SENORITA SISSY collided. Soon after both were tightened by NORWOOD JEWEL on their outer both losing ground. MOST HAUNTED ran wide around the top bend. |
Race 5 | CLARKSON SIGN STUDIO DASH - C1 - 295 | MOVE OVER DALE was slow to jump. BETTY BEEP ran in after the jump checking BAMBOOZLA. Soon after both MODERN WINDOW and VERONICA were tightened losing ground and coming back on BETTY BEEP, all finishing at the rear. |
Race 6 | Middle Distance Final - C0f - 520 | TIJAN was slow to jump but improved into the first bend tightening HOMEBUSH OSO and MISSY JEWEL who both lost ground. At the end of the back straight an improving TIJAN tightened ALCATRAZ BOY who checked outwards and dragged down LADY CHLOE both losing momentum. LADY CHLOE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. |
Race 7 | www.canterburyproperty.co.nz DASH - C1 - 295 | Into the bend GLENMORE LASS moved outwards from her inside draw colliding with MISS WICKLOW resulting in GLEMORE LASS being checked coming back on KNOW TROUBLE. They filled the last two placings. |
Race 8 | DABYNE SHIRAZ AT STUD DASH - C2 - 295 | FIVE KAY KAT and HOMEBUSH REECE were tightened by CAWBOURNE WOODY into the bend with FIVE KAY KAT hitting the rail. Soon after HOMEBUSH REECE struck the heels of ALLEGRINI who lost ground. Approaching the home turn HOMEBUSH BURT tightened MULBERRY KING. FIVE KAY KAT was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury. |
Race 9 | I PAVE CONCRETE STAKES - C0 - 520 | SABRE DANCE and HOMEBUSH WARRIOR were checked when tightened by KICKING HORSE soon after the jump. At the end of the back straight CROSSFIRE MAX clipped the heels of OPAWA BROOKE losing ground. |
Race 10 | www.greyhoundtips.co.nz SPRINT - C1 - 295 | HORSE POWER was slow to jump. Into the bend HOMEBUSH MATE, YAKCAM and BOMBER MAN were tightened coming back on HORSE POWER and THRILLING TIFF. BOTANY STORY ran wide to avoid the checked dogs. Around the bend SUMMER HITS ran very wide marring BREAKING WAVES as she did so. After viewing the race film and following discussion with trainer BC DANN, SUMMER HITS (BC Dann) was deemed to have been in breach of Rule 80.1.a by Stewards. As this was her 2nd offence she was stood down for a period of 3 months and ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial. |
Race 11 | TUESDAY PLACE PICK DISTANCE - C0d - 645 | REDBANK RUBY was checked soon after the jump drifting out to finish a long last. At the wining post with a lap to go PRINCE SERGIO was tightened losing ground fishing near the rear. REDBANK RUBY was subject to a veterinary check which revealed dehydration and a stand down of 14 days recommended. |
Race 12 | GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING SPRINT - C2 - 295 | Soon after the jump CAWBOURNE CART ran towards the rail tightening KATIE MAC, PAUA TO EXCEED and KNOW CENTS who lost all chance. KATIE MAC fell heavily and struck the rail failing to finish the race. A veterinary check revealed several lacerations that required sutures with a 14 day stand down recommended. |

FOLLOW MY HAZE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed a torn right gracilus insertion with a 28 day stand down recommended. BABA GANOOSH was also subject to a vetrinary check which revealed a split left fore web with a 14 day stand down recommended. |

LIZZY LEE the favourite who was handy early drifted out late to finish midfield. She along with HIDDEN ANGEL and JOHNNY DUNNIT were subject to veterinary checks. JOHNNY DUNNIT was found with right groin pain with a 10 day stand down recommended. The other two were found free of injury. |

Race 18 | BARRON'S SUPPLIES SPRINT - C4 - 295 | HISTORICAL was subject to a veterinary check at the boxes prior to the start when thought to be lame. Nothing amiss was found by the veterinarian with the dog taking her place in the field. Into the bend TICKLE TOE moved outwards colliding with MILLY'S MATE, both sustaining checks and coming back on SELF INFLICTED and HISTORICAL who were forced wide. |
