Judicial report: The inquiry adjourned at Christchurch on 13 October 2009 in respect of KNOW TELLING (Race 15) was reconvened. R CASEY was charged with a breach of Rule 71.4 in that he failed to ensure a catcher was present at the conclusioin of the race. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $35.00.
A inquiry was opened and adjourned into the scratching of BOY GENIUS (McCOOK/JOPSON) from Race 6 pending further inquiry.

Race 1	OGRC First 4 - C1 - 545	WHAT A MATE was slow to jump. OPAWA COLLAR ran wide around the first bend as he went to the lead forcing MISSY JEWEL over extra ground.
Race 2	Paws Inn Boarding Kennel Sprint - C5 - 310	ELITE BAXTER was slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend HOMEBUSH LENNY crossed towards the rail with ELITE BAXTER striking heels, both dogs losing ground. They were both vetted and no injury detected with either dog.
Race 3	OGRC NZ Bred Sprint - SPECAq - 310 Heat 2	Both NEED A NURSE and YAKCAM were slow to jump and they came together into the bend losing further ground.
Race 4	Speedprint Shop Stakes - C2/3 - 545	In the run to the first bend KNOCK 'EM DOWN was tightened by OPAWA PADLESS and then checked off the rear of SMASH PALACE on the first bend losing ground before finishing well in the home straight for 4th. On the final turn WILLY BOLT struck the running rail when at the rear of the field and free of interference. KNOCK 'EM DOWN and WILLY BOLT were subject to post race veterinary checks which revealed nothing amiss. The lure pulled up sharply just after the race finish and a check showed the jaws of the lure to have released the wire rope with repairs effected.
Race 5	OGRC NZ Bred Sprint - SPECAq - 310 Heat 1	From the jump DA BOSS ran inwards and MUNGO pushed outwards with MULBERRY KING and SEA ADMIRAL receiving checks. On the turn THRILLING RILEY crossed over and checked KNOW CENTS who was then galloped on by an improving SEA ADMIRAL who went back on top of a trailing MUNGO. Both SEA ADMIRAL and KNOW CENTS were subject to veterinary checks revealed nothing amiss.
Race 6	Brocklebank Dry Cleaners Sprint - C3 - 310	SWIP TASTIC was tightened into the bend losing ground.
Race 7	OGRC NZ Bred Sprint - SPECAq - 310 Heat 3	From the jump GENTLE ANNIE and FROSTY BLONDE came together and stumbled, both losing ground with GENTLE ANNIE never recovering to finish at the rear.
Race 8	Dave Robbie Photographer - C4/5 - 545	KNOW SPIRIT checked out off WANDY HAKA into the first bend colliding with POISED and checking SMASH McCOY. At the end of the back straight BILLY RUBIN was by tightened by an improving OH OTIS with BULLY RUBIN drifting out to finish last. A veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 9	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C4 - 310	From the jump MARLENE'S BABE pushed outwards colliding with SUNSET BOMBER. Into the turn MARLENE'S BABE ran out further coming in contact with KNOW GOOD both losing ground. Soon after GIVE ME MORE crossed over towards the rail striking the heels of TICKLE TOE, both losing all chance.
Race 10	SR Double D Syndicate Dash - C5 - 310	Soon after the jump REWIND HISTORY was checked going down on her nose. Around the bend KNOW NEED moved away from the rail checking LEX BAXTER who scrambled over BIONIC DREAM who fell heavily. REWIND HISTORY struck BIONIC DREAM and also fell. LES BAXTER was turned sideways and cannoned into GRANT A FORTUNE who was badly checked. Into the home straight KNOW NEED continued to move out colliding with STRAIGHT OFF on his outer who lost momentum as a result. LES BAXTER, BIONIC DREAM, REWIND HISTORY and GRANT A FORTUNE were subject to veterinary checks which were all clear.
