Weather: Showery
Track: Good After last week's abandonment the track had 3 trucks of new sand placed on it earlier in the week. This provided an excellent racing surface which stood up well to tonights awful weather conditions. Curator Phil Courtney and his team are to be commended on the condition of the track for this meeting. The power failure was due to water causing fuse problems and this will be attended to in the next week.
Scales: Correct at all weights.
Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainers B and D Hunt were fined $100.00 after admitting a breach of Rule 69.11 when BIGTIME COWELL weighed in at 32.4 kgs which was 1.6 kgs above his last race weight on 8th October.

Race 1	Greyhounds North Distance Series Heats - C0d - 650	SANTO GOLD checked off the back of IN THE BIN on the first bend and lost ground.
Race 2	General Engravers Stakes - C0 - 457	LADY MARIANNE ran outwards after fifty metres tightening HOT FONZ and ARE YA READY on her outer. Into the bend LADY MARIANNE and PRINCE ALBERTO came together and lost some ground.
Race 3	White and Moreland Builders Sprint - C1 - 375	ON MY MIND was dragged down on the bend when in a handy position and lost ground. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 4	Denis Cole Memorial Sprint Heats - C5q - 375 Heat 1	ARCTIC ROMEO was slow to jump and then ran wide into the bend losing ground while CAWBOURNE RAY was tightened along the inside and lost a couple of lengths.
Race 5	Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Sprint - C4 - 375	PAYNEFUL TRUTH was very slow from the inside losing five lengths. He made up a lot of ground to be in beind the placegetters. SPY POWERS ran inwards soon after the jump tightening LYRICAL BALE and LADY HEATHER for a stride. CAWBOURNE BELLE was held up for room at the end of the back straight dropping to the rear.
Race 6	0800 4 Down Cow Ltd Stakes - C2 - 457	THRILLING CAM was tightened as WINSOME BOND pushed up on his inside into the bend and came together with FANCY GIRL and FANCY KATE. This in turn checked MADDER THAN and BIGTIME GUY who were pushed wide and lost ground.
Race 7	Leamington Motor Services Sprint - C2 - 375	TRILLING FORCE settled last but ran on well for his second placing. RUN OFF ME was dragged down for a stride into the bend then came together with SYDENHAM PRETTY and CHILD'S PLAY. GRADUATED CLASS was checked at this stage when in behind these runners.
Race 8	Perry Aggregates Stakes - C5 - 457	YAMBLA JACK was slow to jump while SHOWTIME LEO ran outwards at the end of the back straight pushing FANCY MEL and VIREYA wide around that bend. APPOINTED THYME ran very wide into the home straight losing some ground. There was no head on coverage available for this race.
Race 9	Roly Bolton Ltd Sprint - C3 - 375	The boxes failed to open at first attempt in the event due to power failures to the boxes. The dogs were all released from the boxes and passed fit to race by the Club veterinarian. All races were hand started for the rest of the night. TOW MATER ran wide on the bend and lost some momentum. BORN ENTERTAINER was checked into the bend and drifted to the rear where he stayed. Following this race a request was made for the lure to be changed due to the lure being very dull and hard to see after being soaked by the heavy rain. This lure was changed and there were no more problems through the night.
Race 10	Tokoroa New World Stakes - C1 - 457	GEORDIE BOY checked off runners into the bend and lost many lengths when running wide as a result. He made ground late down the outside of the track.
Race 11	Denis Cole Memorial Sprint Heats - C5q - 375 Heat 2	LOCHINVAR PRINCE ran outwards on the bend and came together with WINSOME LIGHT who lost ground. WITCH JASPER was forced wide as a result.
Race 12	James' Cambridge TAB Stakes - C3/4 - 457	REWIRED and TEE SHIRT were slow to jump. THRILLING WOLF was checked wide by BUT WHY NOT with both runners losing ground.
