Judicial report: The inquiry adjourned at Otago on 15 October 2009 into the scratching of BOY GENIUS (Jopson/McCook) was reconvened. It was established that BOY GENIUS had sustained an injury resulting in receipt of a veterinary certificate by Stewards from Veterinarian L Roberts at 10.53pm on 15 October 2009. As a result no further action was required.

Race 1	Ascot Park Hotel Maiden Feature Sprint Heats - C0q - 390 Heat 1	PRETTY GIRL was slow to jump. Into the bend BLUE RAGE moved out from the rail tightening SORRY VANDERFORD and CAWBOURNE QUICK.
Race 2	$25 Yard Muzzle Stakes - C0 - 457	HOMEBUSH OSO and OPAWA GEM came together into the bend losing ground. MOST HAUNTED ran wide into the bend forcing WATERHOUSE wide.
Race 3	Ascot Park Hotel Maiden Feature Sprint Heats - C0q - 390 Heat 2	AINT THAT COOL ,TRIPLEM HANDand GROUP ONE LYNN came together soon after the jump with TRIPLEM HAND losing ground before checking out of the heels of GROUP ONE LYNN. Into the bend CROSSFIRE MAX and THAT'S SARAH came together. Soon after HOMEBUSH BADGER collided with GROUP ONE LYNN who fell heavily with a trailing TRIPLEM HAND being badly checked. AINT THAT COOL and CHOOK CHOOK were also inconvenienced in this incident. GROUP ONE LYNN completed the race and was the subject of a veterinary check which revealed pain and bruising to the left triceps with a 7 day stand down recommended.
Race 4	$26 Muzzle Stakes - C1 - 457	FROSTY EQUATOR dropped out into the bend to finish a long last. Soon after ROYAL RODNEY climbed onto the rear of HANDSOME HAND as that dog moved towards the rail with ROYAL RODNEY losing all chance and a trailing BEAUTIFUL MOMENT being forced wide. Into the home straight MALROY took the lead before being run down over the concluding stages by OPAWA PATTY. All three were subject to veterinary checks with MALROY'S being in terms of Rule 80.1.a. FROSTY EQUATOR was found to have a laceration to the left hind webbing with a 7 day stand down recommended. MALROY was found with pain to his left fore metacarpals with a 21 day stand down recommended. Under Rule 80.5 a Satisfactory Trial was ordered by Stewards. ROYAL RODNEY was found free of injury.
Race 5	Ascot Park Hotel Maiden Feature Sprint Heats - C0q - 390 Heat 3	MITZY'S ENFORCER came in contact with QUETEE JEWEL and HOMEBUSH JONAH soon after the jump. QUETEE JEWEL tightened PEG'S ANGEL into the bend.
Race 6	S.R. Double D Syndicate Heats - C1q - 390 Heat 1	ASTRO DAVE, HOMEBUSH BONITA and VERONICA came together into the bend losing ground. Soon after HOMEBUSH BONITA and LESTER came together.
Race 7	Ascot Park Hotel Maiden Feature Sprint Heats - C0q - 390 Heat 4	BOTANY NORMA ran in after the jump tightening WICHITA LINEMAN and PRINCESS MILLY. Into the bend WICHITA LINEMAN and MISTY SHADOW came togther with BOTANY NORMA hitting the rear of MISTY SHADOW and losing ground before colliding with PRINCESS MILLY around the bend.
Race 8	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C2 - 457	All clear.
Race 9	S.R. Double D Syndicate Heats - C1q - 390 Heat 2	CAWBOURNE HANDS and NATALIA BALE were checked on jumping when BOTANY STORY ran inwards. Into the bend HOMEBUSH KALAMA was checked when crossed by SPIN A TITLE.
Race 10	S.R. Double D Syndicate Heats - C1q - 390 Heat 3	BOTANY KELLY was very slow to jump. BREAKING WAVES ran out into the bend checking HOMEBUSH MATE and DAIMLER DAVE.
Race 11	S.R. Double D Syndicate Heats - C1q - 390 Heat 4	GREAT KAY'S was checked when tightened soon after the jump. Into the bend LIZZY LEE was tightened coming back on WEE SHADOW who lost ground. Approaching the home straight GREAT KAY'S checked out off the heels of MAT BELOU colliding with WEE SHADOW on his outer.
Race 12	Added Energy Stakes - C3 - 457	JODIE BALE and COVER PAGE came together after the jump. Into the bend WINNER SCHNITZEL moved away from the rail tightening KNOW SPORTY and OPAWA SECRET. COVER PAGE moved inwards to avoid the incident colliding with JODIE BALE resulting in COVER PAGE being forced out into the path of KNOW SPORTY. COVER PAGE was driven sideways and fell heavily before regaining her feet to finish the race. A veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 13	S.R. Double D Syndicate Heats - C1q - 390 Heat 5	LINCOLN ZEPHYR and JIMMY COOL came together into the bend and again into the home straight.COOL TART checked out off OPAWA MEGASTAR into the home straight.
Race 14	Stamina Plus Powder - C4 - 457	Into the bend LOU BALE clipped the heels of BABE'S BOY who came back on FLYING ASPEN.
Race 15	Bounce B Powder - C5 - 390	SUPER JAZZ clipped the hels of MULBERRY RECO around the bend. Into the home straight SUPERFINE and SUNSET BOMBER came together.
