| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C0 - 305 | FLYING WHALE was checked on the first corner as SHOWTIME ADDIS moved in and she moved out causing severe checks to FLYBY EAGLE, DOLLY CYRUS, THRILLING NOTE and ALAMEIN ATTACK and they all lost several lengths. FLYING WHALE continued to race out wide on the bend and jostled with DOLLY CYRUS for some disatance and they finished in the last two places. The Stewards suspected that FLYING WHALE may have attempted to marr but the video films were not conclusive and the benefit of some doubt was given to the dog. |
| Race 2 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C0 - 520 | DOING THE TIME ran in from the start and checked PETITE ROSE who lost ground and settled at the rear and she made up a couple of places to finish 6th. OKAY'S DE BRITTO and SNOWIE SECRET collided on the first corner and OKAY'S DE BRITTO lost ground then ran wide into the first bend over extra ground and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |
| Race 3 | Mickey's Super Liquor - C0f - 305 | THRILLING CYBIL was slow to begin but then made a quick forward move until she raced onto the heels of ALL ABOUT LOUD on the first corner and lost ground. She then recovered to run on well for 3rd placing. ALL ABOUT LOUD and METROPOL who was following THRILLING CYBIL also lost ground in the incident and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. One of the favourites TRICKY PAULA raced wide over extra ground on the bend and finished in 5th place. |
| Race 4 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C0 - 305 | ITERU RA who drew box 7 ran in from the start and checked all runners drawn further in with THRILLING BRYN being the most affected and he went back to last but recovered to finish in 3rd place. CRYSTAL KATIE and PHYL ME POCKETS collided on the first turn and lost several lengths and all chance. PRINCESS CHOLET angled across the heels of JAYDEN'S COURAGE on the bend and JAYDEN'S COURAGE suffered an injury in the incident and finished the race several lengths behind the other runners. She was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a torn shoulder muscle. |
| Race 5 | GEON, Wellington - C1 - 520 | The favourite CHILLI NICK was checked soon after the start and settled well back. He was checked again entering the back straight and never recovered finishing in 6th place. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete Six Pack - C0d - 645 | CAWBOURNE RANCH jumped well to be handy but was jostled for several strides in general tightening, dropped out to last and stayed there for the remainder of the race. HOMEBUSH NICK who finished in 2nd last place was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a quadricep injury. |
| Race 7 | Broad Roofing Services - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH LOYAL jumped in from the start and checked STILL NO TRACK who went back to last but made up some ground for 5th place. FLYBY ROSE MAREE was galloped on by BULLS EYE PETE on the first corner and lost several lengths. Soon after CAWBOURNE ANN checked off the heels of BULLS EYE PETE and also lost several lengths and she finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 8 | Gary Ross Decorator - C1 - 520 | THRILLING FELIX was checked on the first corner and moved out causing interferance to CAWBOURNE SNEAKY and KIWISAVER and all three lost ground and never recovered and they filled the last three places. |
| Race 9 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1 - 305 | KYLASI was tightened and checked on the first corner and went back quickly onto RAT INDEED and they lost several lengths and never recovered and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 10 | www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C1 - 305 | THRILLING SIMONE was bumped several times in the run to the first corner and went back to last and stayed there to the finish. HOMEBUSH KING checked off the heels of WONGAWILLISTEVE on the bend and lost ground but made up some ground for 4th placing. |
