Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C1/2 - 305	As the field left the boxes ANOTHER SAGE came across the face of the field and caused severe interferance to BIGTIME SLAMMER,CAP FANTASTIC,ANOTHER NICK and HOME BUSH PERCY. As ANOTHER SAGE tried to get balanced after this SHARIMORE came out and these two dogs collided. Soon after, CAP FANTASTIC got up on the heels of ANOTHER SAGE and these two dogs went back to the rear and never recovered and finished at the rear. Trainer Mr J McInerney quiried the state of the track just prior to the dogs being called up by the starter and was assured by the Steward that the track was in a safe racing condition. Veterinary surgeon Mr Malcolm Jansen checked all dogs feet post race and there where no problems to report.
Race 2	Bilderbeck Construction Ltd Final - C2f - 520	As the field jumped from the boxes WIRE IT UP and DOLLY BREEN collided and both were put off stride at that point. As the field raced in to the first turn CAWBOURNE RANCH and WIRE IT UP collided and both dropped back to the rear and they never recovered and filled the last two placings. CAWBOURNE RANCH was noticed to be galloping awkwardly in behind in to the home straight and was sent for a vet check where no abnormalities were found.
Race 3	BROAD ROOFING SERVICES - C3 - 305	CIRALDO (fav) was last away from the boxes but was able to work his way through the field to runaway for another convincing win. Soon after the start HAILSTONE HARLY and WHAT'S UP ADDIS came together for a couple of strides. As the field raced in to the first turn CIRALDO was working his way through the field and caused HAILSTONE HARLY,WHAT'S UP ADDIS and DEL TONES to be checked back with HAILSTONE HARLY receiving the worst of the interferance and he went back to the rear and could not improve from there and finished in last position.
Race 4	WANGANUI SECURITY SERVICES - C2/3 - 520	SALLY BAXTER was best away from the boxes and headed straight across the face of the field and there was tightening in behind her which resulted in jostling and checks to CAWBOURNE WILCO ,REZENDE ,BLAKE'S ANGEL and BIGTIME GUY and this caused these four dogs to go back to the rear and they filled the last four placings at the line.
Race 5	GUTHRIE BOWRON, WANGANUI - C3 - 305	This race was advertised inadvertantly in the racebook as a 520 metre race when the offical distance is 305 metre MISS BRUGGE(fav) was slow away and then tried to muscle her way through the field and jostled with KARL BAXTER for a distance down towards the first turn until she eventually found room to get through. As they raced into the first turn BACK DRAUGHT and CRYSTAL VIRUS came together and were jostling each other as HOMEBUSH MARLON and RANUI came around the outside and these four runners all came together causing checks to each other. BACK DRAUGHT was the most affected and was checked back to last and finished in that position. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a tricep injury. BIGTIME ROYALE was observed to go off stride on the top bend and lost traction in the hindquarters for a couple of strides, but ran on well for 4th placing at the line. She was checked by the Vet and no abnomalities were found.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE SERVICES 6 Pack - C4/5 - 305	Soon after the start CAWBOURNE DORE and ALL ABOUT DOSH came across hard and caused crowding to the rest of the field resulting in LEUMEAH MISS ,FARMOR ENFORCER ,TIGGERLONG FURY ,MR SIMPLY and ANOTHER BAXTER all being checked to various degrees. NATASHA'S DUFFER who jumped well from the boxes and led all the way was the only dog not affected.
Race 7	Waterloo Cup (Group 1) Heat - C5 - 520	This race was inadvertantly advertised in the racebook as a 305 metre race it's offical distance is 520 metres Soon after the start ALFA DANCER ran in to the back of BILLY RUBIN. As the field raced in to the first turn BILLY RUBIN had raced in to a handy position in 3rd spot when ALFA DANCER had to check back off the heels of ROCKABYE LAD and came out underneath BILLY RUBIN forcing this dog wide and into the path of LOTTO BALLS .These two dogs were badly inconvenienced in this incident and lost their positions and could not get back in to contention from there on in. CAWBOURNE KING and CAWBOURNE ACE were both late scratchings at kenneling on veterinary advice due to injuries
Race 8	Harrisons Hire Master Distance Feature - C2d - 645	This race was inadvertantly printed in the racebook as a 520 metre race when it is actually a 645 metre event As the field were jostling for positions in the early running MR JAZZ checked back off the heels of LAGOON GROOVE As the field jostled for positions in the early running LAGOON GROVE had to check back off the heels of LITTLE MOTHER as she crossed over sharply towards the rail causing SUDDEN SAM to run out on to ANDY D'GANDY,ACCUSSER and soon after this BROCKMAN LAD ran up on the back of LAGOON GROVE and came out sharply off the rail and took LAGOON GROVe and SUDDEn SAM towards the outside of the track and these three dogs lost all chance of getting back in to contention from there on in
Race 9	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD(NZ) LTD - C5 - 305	PIZZA GIRL (fav) was well away from the boxes, but took a bit of ground to get going and from the 8 draw got caught out a bit wde across the top and ran on in to 4th position at the line ,it was her first start for 4 weeks As the field raced down to the first turn BIGTIME EXSPRESS came in as SWIFT CONQUEST came out off the rail to gain racing room ,resulting in them coming together and BIGTIME THUNDER and CLASSIC BEN ran out of room behind them and were checked back towards the rear ,with both losing ground that they could'nt make up there after
Race 10	MEDIA WORKS - C4 - 305	Soon after the start BLACK MUSCAT got on the heels of DARK SAGE for a stride and soon after, BIGTIME ELITE came out on to DARK SAGE. HUTT PARK FLYER then came out off WHATA BOWLER and was checked by that dog as it went towards the lead and resulted in JOSHIE'S GIRL being checked back from near the lead to the rear of the field BLACK MUSCAT and JOSHIE'S GIRL never recovered from these incidents and filled the last two positions at the line
