| Race 2 | Mickeys Super Liquor - C1q - 305 Heat 1 | ANOTHER SAGE moved in from box 8 soon after the start and and crowded SUPER SAGE, THRILLING SHADZ and GOLD FOR THYS for a few strides. UPAHUT CRYSTAL was handy to the first corner but was checked and went back onto ANOTHER SAGE and both lost ground and all chance of a placing and they finished in 6th and 7th places. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron Wanganui - C1q - 305 Heat 2 | This race was started 2 minutes late at the request of T.A.B control. BIGTIME SURVIVOR moved out on the first corner and caused checks to UPAHUT WITCH, RISING GAS, SPECTRA CONQUEST, FLYBY ROSE MAREE and THRILLING GOLD who all lost various amounts of ground. SPECTRA CONQUEST recovered to finish in 2nd place with the others finishing back in the field. |
| Race 4 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C1q - 305 Heat 3 | This race was started 1 minute late at the request of T.A.B control. ROUGH ENFORCER, SECRET TRACEY and THRILLING HALLE were all slow to begin and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. PSYCHOTIC was handy on the first corner but was then checked and lost two lengths but recovered to finish in 3rd place. |
| Race 5 | GEON Wellington - C1q - 305 Heat 4 | ARANUI JOKER, BIGTIME ALEX, THRILLING BLADE and JILL were all checked and lost ground on the first corner and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C0 - 520 | TINY PRANCER moved out from the rail on the first corner and checked KNIGHT INVADER who went back to last and stayed there to the finish. OKAY'S DE BRITTO, WAHINE KURE and RUN BROADY RUN were also checked and pushed wide over extra ground in this incident and they never recovered and finished in 5th, 6th and 7th places. |
| Race 7 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1q - 305 Heat 5 | THRILLING BASIL was slow to begin and he stayed at the rear throughout to finish in last place. |
| Race 8 | Broad Roofing Services - C1q - 305 Heat 6 | BIGTIME MATE and ANYTHING FITZ bumped together soon after the start and settled back in the field. ANYTHING FITZ then moved in and jostled with THRILLING DUTCH for several strides and PHANTOM FOG was also bumped in this incident and they all lost ground. ANYTHING FITZ never recovered from the incidents and dropped out to finish several lengths last. |
| Race 9 | Gary Ross Decorator - C1q - 305 Heat 7 | STAR SEEKER was checked on the first corner and dropped back causing checks to RHYANA REASON and METROPOL and they lost any chance of a placing. The 2nd placed dog BIGTIME MISS ran out in the straight and turned its head towards the 3rd placed runner CAWBOURNE DI who was hindered in the incident. BIGTIME MISS was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b and is required to complete a satisfactory trial before its next start. |
| Race 10 | www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C1q - 305 Heat 8 | BIGTIME TITLE went up with the box lids at the start and lost several lengths. She did make up some ground but still finished in last place. |
