| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C2 - 305 | SPIN CYCLE was tightened and checked on the first corner and almost fell and she finished several lengths last. SPIN CYCLE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a tricep muscle injury. HOMEBUSH EMMA was also examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a dislocated toe. ROTOVEGAS GIRL was also checked in the incident and lost ground. The hot favourite HERE IN SPIRIT began awkwardly and was last away from the boxes but he recovered to finish in 2nd place. |
| Race 2 | Bilderbeck Construction Ltd - C1 - 520 | PURE FURY moved out soon after the start and checked LISA SHIRAZ. CAWBOURNE SNEAKY moved out soon after and checked PURE FURY and LISA SHIRAZ and these three runners settled well back and stayed there to finish in the rear group. |
| Race 3 | Broad Roofing Services - C3 - 305 | MIRKOLA BALE was tightened between SUPERIOR BLACK and FLASHFIRE COAL in the run to the first corner and was eventually checked and drifted back to finish in last place. |
| Race 4 | Wanganui Security Services - C2/3 - 520 | DESTINE TO EXCEL was jostled for several strides soon after the start and again on the first bend and he dropped out to be last entering the back straight and could not make up the lost ground and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 5 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C4/5 - 520 | MYA FLYER ran out from the start and checked SUPREME BASH, ANDY D'GANDY and ALFA DANCER. SUPREME BASH was checked again on the first corner when UPAHUT SLAYER shifted ground and he was last going into the bend but made up some ground to finish in 5th place. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 pack - C5 - 305 | SWIFT CONQUEST made contact with CAWBOURNE ACE on its inside on the first corner and was checked and dropped back onto GUNNADOO KNIGHT and both lost ground and they never recovered and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 7 | www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C5 - 305 | FIND PEDRO and CAWBOURNE CROWN were both a little slow to begin and settled at the rear. FIND PEDRO then moved out on the first corner and forced CAWBOURNE CROWN wide into the bend and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Harrisons Hire Master - C5 - 520 | The favourite PINK RELTUB was away well enough from the boxes and did brush together with RAPPER NEWY with a circuit to run but she then drifted back to last and stayed well back to finish in 2nd last place. PINK RELTUB was examined by the Vet as a precaution and no abnormalities were found |
