Judicial report: An application was made under Rule 82.5. by trainer TA GREEN in respect of SUPERIOR SOPHIE, a late scratching at Auckland on 11 August 2009. After the taking of radiographs and another examination the 10 days stand down imposed under Rule 68.26 was rescinded.
An application was made under Rule 82.5. by trainer SP CLARK in respect of KARN, a late scratching at Aucland on 9 August 2009. At a further examination the stand down of 10 days imposed under Rule 68.26 was rescinded.
Handler Kathy WILSON was given a first and final warning for breaching the mohile phone regulation when her phone was heard to be ringing and not switched off at the start of Race 10.

Race 1	Trophies Plus Sprint - C3 - 318	The favourite THRILLING ANGUS lost all chance when missing the jump by 4 lengths. SUPER DRY was slow from the inside box but recovered quickly along the rail. Soon after the jump FLYBY JOEY ran inwards colliding with RUN OFF ME who lost ground. Into the bend FLYBY JOEY and WHAT SHIRAZ came together both losing ground.
Race 2	Thornton Auctions Sprint - C0 - 318	THRILLING BLAST and TY'S ANGEL were slow to jump. HOT LIKE ME ran in after the jump with GEORDIE BOY striking heels and losing ground. Soon after GEORDIE BOY ran wide around the bend taking THRILLING BLAST with him. Approaching the home turn SALLY GALLY drove to the lead checking THRILLING HALLE.
Race 3	Meadowset Graphics Sprint - C1 - 318	FREIGHT SHAKER drifted to the rear soon after the jump. CENTRAL CYRUS and HOMEBUSH VIEW were tightened into the bend losing ground.
Race 4	The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C4/5 - 318	Soon after the jump ROCKY BEND GIRL ran out checking DISCO JORDY and LOCHINVAR POLO. Into the bend DISCO JORDY strucks the heels of SIROCCO CAM who was dragged down and drifting quickly through the field to finish last with DISCO JORDY checking outwards and impeding LOCHINVAR POLO. SIROCCO CAM was subject to a veterinary check which revealed a left hock strain with a 21 day stand down recommended.
Race 5	Lectro Hair & Beauty Sprint - C1 - 318	Around the bend CHILD'S PLAY drifted inwards resulting in SEELEY BOOTH climbing on CHILD'S PLAY back and checking outwards before colliding heavily with THRILLING SYD and BANG WALLOP all three dogs falling but regaining their feet to finish the race. Both HALSTROM BALE and SUZIE THE FLUZY were badly checked. The three fallen dogs were subject to veterinary checks. THRILLING SYD was found with minor grazes and a 4 day stand down recommended. CHILD'S PLAY was found with superficial grazes and a 3 day stand down recommended. SEELEY BOOTH was found to have a dislocated right hind toe with a 28 day stand down recommended. BANG WALLOP had sutures inserted to the right hind metatarsal area with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Race 6	Jack's Wholesale Meats Stakes - C2/3 - 527	Both MADDER THAN and TALEVERO were slow to jump. Around the first bend LAGOON FIFI ran outwards colliding with COOL EDITION both losing ground.
Race 7	ownagreyhound.co.nz Sprint - C1/2 - 318	THRILLING CHASE was checked when tightened between DEVILS MARBELS and THRILLING VIRUS into the bend.
Race 8	Pacific Sheet & Coil (NZ) Stakes - C4 - 527	All clear.
Race 9	Terry Ryan Timber Sprint - C4/5 - 318	THRILLING WOLF and ELITE DESTINY came together into the bend losing ground. CHEDDY MACSTAR ran wide into the home straight.
Race 10	The Alamo Bar & TAB Sprint - C4 - 318	STATELY CONQUEST was slow from the inside box. After the jump AWESOME VOYAGE ran in and KERRIES FANTASY ran out tightening STAR CONQUEST and WINSOME NOVA who fell heavily, regaining her feet to finish the race. Into the bend AWESOME VOYAGE continued his inward movement checking STAR CONQUEST, YOUNG VALIANT and VIREYA who all sustained checks.
