| Race 1 | Allied Work Force 0800 Labour - C0q - 520 Heat 1 | GISELLE QUEEN and ELEMENO PEA bumped together soon after the start and settled well back. ELEMENO PEA then ran wide on the first bend over extra ground and finished in last place. GLAZE was checked and forced wide on the first bend and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |
| Race 2 | Media Works - C0 - 305 | This event started 2 minutes late at the request of Raceday control. TYPHOON PETE was slow to begin losing four lengths but he made up ground well to finish in 4th place. SPARKY WIZARD was checked on the first corner, went back to last and stayed there to the finish. SPARKY WIZARD did not appear to be striding out correctly and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. The Trainer indicated that he would probably not persevere with SPARKY WIZARD as a racing dog. |
| Race 3 | Mickeys Super Liquor - C0q - 520 Heat 2 | TEN BY FIFTY was bumped by CIRALDO in the run to the first corner and she lost four lengths. TEN BY FIIFTY and PETITE ROSE collided on the home turn when well back and they both lost ground and finished in the last two places. |
| Race 4 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C0 - 305 | THRILLING NERO was slow to begin and lost three lengths. ARTEMIS LADY was checked and fell in the back straight when GO ZILLA moved in and CHIX DIGIT and THRILLING NOTE were also affected in the incident. ARTEMIS LADY was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. CHIX DIGIT was again tightened adjacent to the rail on the first corner and went back to last and stayed there to the finish. |
| Race 5 | GEON Wellington - C1 - 305 | The favourite LEATHER JACKET was one of the slowest to begin but made up ground to finish in 3rd place. HOMEBUSH LOYAL ran in from the start and caused a check to THRILLING BASIL who went back to last. He then ran wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and finished last. |
| Race 6 | Keenan Concrete 6 Pack - C1 - 520 | CAWBOURNE RANCH collided with BLUE WATCH when jumping from the boxes and he settled at the rear. CAWBOURNE RANCH was again checked entering the back straight losing several lengths and he tailed the field from there to the finish. |
| Race 7 | Broad Roofing Services - C1 - 305 | General tightening in the back straight resulted in a check to one of the favourites UPAHUT ZORRO who lost several lengths and all chance and he finished in 6th place. HOMEBUSH HOLLY ran very wide into the bend and forced BIGTIME MATE wide over extra ground and they finished in the last two places. |
| Race 8 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C1 - 520 | DANCING TESSA and PLAIN ARIAL bumped together for several strides in the run to the first corner and lost momentum. PLAIN ARIAL was again checked from behind on the first bend and he drifted out from there to finish several lengths last. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
| Race 9 | Gary Ross Decorator - C1 - 305 | KIWI GEORGE who had not started for five months was 1.8 kilograms down on its last start weight and the Trainer stated that she was happy with the weight and the Vet confirmed the dogs fitness to start. KIWI GEORGE ran in from the start and checked BIGTIME MISS and UPAHUT CRYSTAL who were both forced off line. UPAHUT CRYSTAL then moved out and jostled with BIGTIME MISS and KIWI GEORGE and all three lost ground and were at the rear on the first corner and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. |
| Race 10 | www.wanganuicarcentre - C1 - 305 | THRILLING BENNY and THRILLING TIM were both checked on the first corner losing ground and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. |
