Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Owner/trainer RM McKENZIE was charged with a breach of Rules 68.2 and 68.6 in respect of CELIA FATE (Race 3) when she failed to present the dog to race resulting in the dog being a late scratching. McKENZIE made efforts to get CELIA FATE to the course in time for her engagement however was unable to do so. She was fined $150.00 and given the circumstances and her efforts to get the dog to the track after becoming aware of her error no stand down was imposed.
Trainer J FAHEY was fined $35.00 for a breach of Rule 71.4. as a result of her failure to arrange a catcher for OUR NICKI GALLOP, the winner of Race 8.
Trainer JM JOPSON was fined $100.00 on each of three charges under Rule 69.11 when FIRM OFFER (race 1), CAWBOURNE HANDS (Race 7) and STICKS TOO (Race 9) weighed in 1.7kgs above, 2.5kgs above and 1.7kgs above respectively over their last race start weights.

Race 1	Advance Pet Nutrition Stakes - C1 - 520	CAWBOURNE NORMA collided with GENISTA DIAMOND into the first bend and again into the back straight. GENISTA DIAMOND ran on late with CAWBOURNE NORMA drifting out to last. A veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 2	Challenge Opawa All Up Stakes - C0 - 520	Into the bend OZARK'S JOLSON ran outwards with GROUP ONE LYNN and HIGHGROVE coming together. BOTANY HORNET scrambled from the boxes losing all chance. BOTANY HORNET and OZARK'S JOLSON were subject to veterinary checks with BOTANY HORNET having mild left shoulder soreness and a 7 day stand down recommended. OZARK'S JOLSON was found to have pain in the pelvic area with a 14 day stand down recommended.
Race 3	www.greyhoundtips.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 295	LAUREN'S LEGACY ran out after the jump checking CHOKE, ROYAL ADONIS who went down on his nose and BUSINESS TIME. Into the bend CHOKE checked off the heels of LAUREN'S LEGACY losing ground. Approaching the home turn LAUREN'S LEGACY checked out off SWIP TASTIC running wide as a result. ROYAL ADONIS was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. CELIA FATE (RM McKENZIE) was a late scratching at the conclusion of kenneling when the trainer reported that she had left the dog at home in error. McKENZIE was charged with a breach of Rules 68.2 and 68.6.
Race 4	www.duvauchellehotelmotel.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	SKY VANE checked out off MILLY SPICE into the first bend checking SHREK ROXON and KNOW TELLING on her outer. At the end of the back straight SKY VANE struck the heels of ANYTIME SOON before moving outwards and checking SHREK ROXON and KNOW TELLING. SHREK ROXON was the subject of a veterinary examination which revealed soreness over the ileosacral area with a 10 day stand down recommended.
Race 5	Tuesday Place Pick Dash - C1 - 295	HERE'S MAREE NOW was slow to jump and when improving into the bend came together with ONE SICK CHICK and OOBER DOOBER all losing ground. Soon after COLERIDGE KID was checked by YAKC AM. Approaching the turn CAWBOURNE MADGE moved away from the rail forcing OOBER DOOBER wide on the track.
Race 6	Hampden Tavern Stakes - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 7	Shirley Veterinary Centre Sprint - C1 - 295	BETTY BEEP ran in after the jump checking VERONICA, GRANT A CHANCE and FURMINATOR who all lost ground.
Race 8	Hurunui Hotel Stakes - C0 - 520	RAMA DING DONG eased into the first bend when pased by CAWBOURNE ROD, drifting through the field before being struck by both TOYA and WAYNE'S CLASS. A veterinary examination of RAMA DING DONG revealed no injury. Trainer M ROBINSON was shown the race film and as Stewards deemed the performance to be unsatisfacory RAMA DING DONG was order to undertake a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with Rule 81.1.
Race 9	www.containersdirect.co.nz Dash - C0 - 295	BAINFIELD LASS was very slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend ASTRO DAVE and TUKURUA COLT were tightened by dogs on their outer, both losing all chance. ASTRO DAVE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury.
Race 10	Pick Six Leg One Dash - C1 - 295	HORSE POWER was slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend AVANZATA moved away from the rail tightening TUNZA REVS who came back on HORSE POWER and SHAZZ'S SAINT, both losing ground. Into the straight TUNZA REVS check out off the heels of AVANZATA losing ground.
Race 11	New Zealand Racing Series - NZRSq - 520 Heat 1	Soon after the start CHILE TART and HEAR THE CHEERS came together. Into the bend CHILE TART tightened CRAFTY CLEEVE who checked outwards forcing KNOW WHEN and HEAR THE CHEERS over extra ground.
Race 12	Flair Stakes C1 Final - C1f - 520	KNOW GLORY checked out off COVER PAGE into the first bend running wide as a result. Soon after KARA JANX ran out colliding with DUDLEY RAMA who in turn was forced onto KNOW GLORY.
Race 13	New Zealand Racing Series - NZRSq - 520 Heat 2	CLEEVE HILL was slow from the boxes. Into the first bend HOMEBUSH NICK tightened CRAFTY FLYNN. Around the bend CLEEVE HILL and PATTY'S GIRL came togther losing ground.
Race 14	Speights Six Pack - C1 - 520	BIBI DAHL ran inwards after the jump tightening JOHNNY DUNNIT, SAFARI STORM and SMASH KINGDOM who all lost ground. Soon after SAFARI STORM was forced onto the rail. Around the bend WHAT A MATE, JOHNNY DUNNIT and COSTA BRAVO came together when racing at the rear. SAFARI STORM was subject to a veterinary check which revealed no injury.
Race 15	Be Back Thursday Night Dash - C1 - 295	SILENT WHISPER was slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend HANSOME HARRY was tightened by CRUISE TO CAPRI. Around the bend SUMMER HITS ran out and marred KNOW TROUBLE, both losing all chance. SUMMER HITS (BC Dann) was charged with a breach of Rule 80.1.a. resulting in Stewards standing the dog down for 28 days and ordering a Satisfactory Trial.
