| Race 2 | Challenge Opawa All Up Sprint - C2/3 - 295 | CALL ME lost all chance when missing the jump by 8 lengths. Into the bend CADBURY HAND checked out off BOY GENIUS. Soon after TICK ALL BOXES was crossed by JUST A BOLT checking out as a result and coming on contact with SCARLET EMPRESS. JUST A BOLT who was clear in the lead eased in the home straight before stretching out short of the finish line when NITRO PEGGY drove through along the rail A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss with JUST A BOLT. After reviewing the race film with trainer MJ FLIPP, JUST A BOLT was stood down by Stewards for a period of 28 days under Rule 80.1.b and was ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial. |

Into the back straight WINSOME CYCLONE clipped the heels of HARBOUR BALE with both losing momentum. Across the top GENISTA BRAVE was tightened between dogs drifting out to finish well back. |

| Race 8 | Advance Pet Nutrition South Island Championship Group 2 Heats - C5q - 520 Heat 2 | WINSOME MERC was a late scratching behind the starting boxes shortly before race start time when found to be lame in his right foreleg with a 7 day stand down recommended. KNOW QUESTION and JOHNNY MIDNIGHT came together soon after the jump losing ground. JOHNNY MIDNIGHT failed to improve tailing the field home. A veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. Trainer D FAHEY was questioned regarding the dog's performance and stated that although he tied up during the race there was something clearly wrong with him. He confirmed that he would seek a thorough veterinary examination of the dog prior to him racing again. KNOW QUESTION was found with a small laceration to the 4th toe of his right hind which required sutures. A 7 day stand down was recommended. |

McCRACKEN who was the dog selected to be swabbed post race was observed by the veterinarian accompanying the dog to injest something on the tarseal enroute from the washdown area to the swab kennels. |

TEDDY ran inwards from his outside draw checking MULBERRY RECO, CAWBOURNE MOLLY, ROCKA HULA and MISS HYPERACTIVE who fell heavily. She regained her feet to finish the race. WILLY ECHO and SUPER JAZZ came together around the bend. MISS HYPERACTIVE was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. |
