| Race 1 | ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305 | THRILLING LEO was slow to begin but recovered quickly to finish well and win. STEAL IT DAN was away well but was then checked losing several lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place. BARALLEN raced onto the heels of BIGTIME MISS on the first corner and both lost ground and soon after BIGTIME MISS and THRILLING NERO collided but they all recovered from the checks and finished in 2nd ,3rd and 4th places. THRILLING KADEE and HOMEBUSH TRAVIS were forced wide in the incident on the first corner and they finished well back. |

| Race 3 | MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 305 | SUCH A MYSTERY began awkwardly losing ground and was then hindered as SCOTT NO WIVES moved in from an outside box. THRILLING PETRA was also jostled for a few strides by the movement in from SCOTT NO WIVES. THRILLING DIXIE was awkwardly placed adjacent to the rail on the first corner and lost three lengths. |
| Race 4 | WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C1 - 520 | One of the favourites MADDER THAN was checked and forced out wide on the first corner and he lost four lengths but then made up ground to finish in 5th place. |
| Race 5 | NZRS SPRINT HEAT 1 - RESq - 305 Heat 1 | KNOW GOOD moved in soon after the start and checked HOT SPICEY BOY who lost ground. KNOW GOOD then raced onto the heels of BIGTIME WORLD on the first corner and they both lost ground and never recovered. THRILLING GRIT checked over the heels of HUTT PARK FLYER in the home straight but recovered to finish in 3rd place. |
| Race 6 | KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C1f - 520 | One of the favourites THRILLING MOSS was very slow to begin losing four lengths. He was then checked entering the back straight losing another four lengths and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |
| Race 7 | NZRS SPRINT HEAT 2 - RESq - 305 Heat 1 | JAMES BEE checked over the heels of BIGTIME THUNDER in the run to the first corner and lost three lengths. JUST LIKE BEE checked over the heels of MYA FLYER on the first corner and moved out forcing BIGTIME THUNDER wide over extra ground. LITTLE LADY BLUE moved in on the first corner and hindered FLASHFIRE COAL for a few strides but FLASHFIRE COAL recovered to win the race. |
| Race 8 | NZRS SPRINT HEAT 3 - RESq - 305 Heat 1 | General tightening in the run to the first corner resulted in checks to SMART SHARMILA, POLSKA and ICE BALL who all lost several lengths and all chance. WHATA BOWLA was handy to the first corner but was checked and fell. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |

RAPPER NEWY, BIGTIME SCAR and SCISSOR SISTERS were all severely checked in the incident losing several lengths and all chance. |
