Track: Good The track was frozen as was the matting in front of the 295m boxes despite the matting being covered overnight. After completion of 2 qualifying trials a decision was made to delay the meeting by one race and then by a further two races resulting in Race 1 commencing at 1.18pm. With sun and a prevailing north east wind both the race surface and matting provided a good surface at race start time. Repairs were required to the running rail in two places dur to fracture as a result of the heavy overnight frost. Preparation of the race surface was changed for this meeting in consultation with the original contractor Duncan Laing who laid and prepared the track suface. That involved using the roading brushes on their own with the mat for smoothing finishing off just prior to each race start time. The day started with a very heavy frost overnight.

Race 2	CHALLENGE ALL UP SPRINT - C1 - 295	TURBO PRINCE ran out into the bend tightening SLICK NOTCH and LEO'S BOYS.
Race 3	BARRON'S SUPPLIES DASH - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH EARL, NEED A NURSE and GEMSTONE RUSTY came together around the bend losing all chance.
Race 4	WWW.DUVAUCHELLEHOTELMOTEL.CO.NZ STAKES - C1 - 520	KNOW TELLING tightened JACKALICIOUS and FUN TICKETS into the first bend. Soon after SAFAI STORM drove to the lead tightening KARA JANX who checked outwards. Into the back straight PRINCE SERGIO and KNOW TELLING collided with one another and continued to do so until leaving the back straight when PRINCE SERGIO forged ahead. Turning for home WHAT A MATE tightened PRINCE SERGIO who was forced outwards colliding with KNOW TELLING.
Race 5	WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ SPRINT - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH MARLON was slow to jump. Into the bend ANOTHER WACK and THEMELO came together forcing POWER SAW wide.
Race 6	SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE DASH - C0 - 295	LAUREN'S LEGACY checked out off PALOMINE into the bend coming back on ARCHUILLES and PINTA GUINNESS who both lost ground.
Race 7	WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM SPRINT - C0 - 295	MADE IN ENZED was slow to jump. Into the bend JUST ADDISON tightened POLAR BLAST, both losing ground. Soon after ASTRO DAVE clipped the heels of MADE IN ENZED as he drove down towards the rail. Into the home straight JUST ADDISON ran wide checking POLAR BLAST.
Race 8	GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING STAKES - C0 - 520	DIARACK and TUKURUA BELLE were slow to jump. Into the first bend MAMBO ran outwards forcing STAR SHIP and RAMA DING DONG wide. At the end of the back straight TOYA tightened STAR SHIP. In the home straight TOYA ran into rear of TUKURUA BELLE both losing ground.
Race 9	WWW.CONTAINERSDIRECT.CO.NZ SPRINT - C1 - 295	BULLS EYE PETE scrambled awkwardly from the outside box losing all chance. Around the bend MAX FORCE moved down towards the rail colliding heavily with it drifting out to finish near the rear. A post race veterinary check on both MAX FORCE and BULLS EYE PETE revealed nothing amiss with either dog.
Race 10	KOLORFUL KANVAS SPRINT - C3 - 295	OSWALD BOATENG and CADBURY HAND were tightened soon after the jump. Into the bend CAP FANTASTIC, SCARLET EMPRESS, HAILSTONE HERB, ANOTHER NICK were tightend with a trailing OSWALD BOATENG checked as a result. This incident left JUST A BOLT and TICK ALL BOXES clear.
Race 11	TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C1 - 295	MOMENT came up with the lids losing all chance.
Race 12	POWER FARMING LTD STAKES - C1 - 520	SHREK ROXON was squeezed between dogs soon after the jump. Into the first bend BERT BADGER ran wide forcing BIBI DAHL over extra ground.
Race 13	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C1 - 295	WILLY'S PRIDE and ONE SICK CHICK came together into the bend with ONE SICK CHICK coming back on BOO ROO and forcing SILENT WHISPER wide. Into the home straight MULBERRY KING checked out off ONE SICK CHICK colliding with SILENT WHISPER both losing momentum.
Race 14	CANTERBURY O.T.B ASSOCIATION STAKES - C1 - 520	WITH A RHYTHM was slow to jump. Into the bend LUCY'S MINT was forced out off TIGER BALM taking AMBER DERVISH wide around he bend.
Race 15	PICK 6 LEG 1 - C4 - 295	SUPER JAZZ ran out into the bend taking NITRO PEGGY and EXCTING STATE wide around the bend.
Race 16	ADDINGTON EVENTS CENTRE DASH - C4 - 295	HISTORICAL was slow to jump. Into the bend HISTORICAL and GENISTA ASSASSIN came together. Soon after WILD ST.TEDDY and MISS HYPERACTIVE came together when vying for the lead with MISS HYPERACTIVE drifting to finish 3rd.
Race 17	FLAIR STAKES - C0f - 520	All clear.
Race 18	DAVID EMERSON CONSULTANCY STAKES - C1 - 520	LILLY SKYE was slow to jump. Into the first bend HOME PAGE moved away from the rail forcing MR BONZALES and GUNNA SMOKE outwards with DUDLEY RAMA and LILY SKYE running wide to avoid these dogs. Into the home straight HOME PAGE was tightened by MR BONZALES checking out as a result and colliding with SKY VANE and DUDLEY RAMA.
Race 19	SPEIGHTS SIX PACK STAKES - C3 - 520	LOCHINVAR VUITON checked out off MIDNIGHT ANNIE around the first bend running wide.
Race 20	BE BACK FRIDAY NIGHT SPRINT - C5 - 295	MICRO SISSY and TALIESIN BLUE came together into the bend when vying for the lead with both losing ground to finish well back.
